Like the thread title says, I'd like to know from anyone who's been on the Magic recently what kind of workout facilities and trainers are available, and how much extra it costs to work with personal trainers while onboard. Over 15 nights of gourmet cuisine and all-you-can-eat buffets I'm going to have a lot to work off, and I want to try to keep pace as much as possible. Thanks!

Go Andrew!
From what I've seen in the myriad videos and tv programs, the expanded workout area added more room for equipment and classes.
Mr. Niwel and I always lose weight on a cruise anyway (no elevators -- stairs only). ;)
The workout facilities are actually pretty good - and were expanded for couple of years ago. They have several treadmills, cycles, elliptical trainers, free weights, and more. I've added some shots Adrienne took of the fitness area to my album: http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/album.php?albumid=64
As for personal trainers, they are available for $75 for 60 minutes.

How does that happen? I'm so worried that I'll put on tons of extra weight with all that food around. I've never been on a cruise and we're going on NYE 2008 to the Bahamas on the Magic.
So you really CAN loose weight? Yeah!

Yup. We walk more on vacation than we seem to do at home. We don't really snack a lot. Drink a lot of water. We eat what we want, but we don't overeat. (get one dessert you really want or three desserts and have one bite of each).
Enjoy salads and veggies (I'm not a veggie person -- but if you put dressing on it, I'll eat it).
Also, check out the "spa" or "healthy" options on the menu. Sometimes you can get the exact same thing, but with a different sauce or side.

We've never gained weight either.
Always take the stairs and having someone cooking way healthier options than the take-out/frozen pizzas we eat at home probably helps too.
Plus there is so much to do we don't do the boredom eating so common while watching tv at home.
