View Full Version : Poll- What do you have to eat at each park?
jazzysmom 03-30-2008, 09:48 PM Ok, so I am a total foodie.
So I want to know, what you absolutely must eat at each Disney park when you visit & where you get it at? Tell me what you dream about long after you leave!
danyoung 03-31-2008, 08:40 AM I like to have at least one lunch at Cosmic Ray's, but that's more for Sonny Eclipse than the food (although they do a pretty good burger there). At DAK I love the barbeque at the Flame Tree, and the exotic seating area is a total bonus. Other than those 2, I tend to spread it around, maybe hitting the California Grill every other trip (love that tamarind bbq marinated beef filet, and their sushi is to die for!), as well as hitting most of the sitdowns in Epcot every couple years or so. This trip in a few days will feature my one and only trip to Tutto Italia before they change up, and my first trip back to Marrakesh in several years. Gotta keep things fresh!
Drince88 03-31-2008, 08:54 AM I also like to mix it up on where/what I eat.
I like Columbia Harbor House and their salads (get the dressing on the side!), and I was PLEASANTLY surprised by the salads at Pizzafari (didn't help that I was super hot and had waited like 1/2 hour to GET a fastpass for Kali River Rapids! Between the AC, getting out of the crowds, any fresh tasting food would have hit the spot. But it did hold up for a second trip back on a later trip)
And on at least one visit to AK each trip I have to get a Strawberry bar at the last vending location on Discovery Island before the bridge back to the entrance.
Greg in TN 03-31-2008, 09:38 AM Flame Tree BBQ is an "absolutely must eat" .. especially the ribs.
We've also really enjoyed the Tangerine Cafe in Epcot's Morocco pavillion. I don't know if I'd call it a "must" but we've enjoyed it enough that we typically wind up back there each trip. :D
There is so much to choose from at Walt Disney World, that we too like to mix things up. But some other places we've visited on multiple trips include:
San Angel Inn
Crystal Palace
'Ohana
Liberty Tree Tavern
Yum, yum, yum !!!
petesimac 03-31-2008, 10:08 AM I HAVE to have a citrus swirl in MK!
I HAVE to have carameled popcorn in MK!
I HAVE to have a frozen chocolate-covered banana at AK (or is it DHS?)!
I HAVE to have that vegi sandwhich at Colombia Harbour House (forgot the name).
I HAVE to have a pastry from the bakery in France (pronounced
fr-aw-nce) in Epcot.
I TRY to have the vegi-cuban at The Land (Seasons?) restaurant on the bottom floor next to Soarin.
Before I was a vegetarian, I would have to have a turkey leg, wherever they served them!
FigmentFigment 03-31-2008, 10:19 AM Figaro Fries -- I love, love, love Figaro Fries.
scoobydooby 03-31-2008, 11:07 AM Cheescake - Norway CS at Epcot.

They do a nice afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian, and everyone gets their own pot.
KJSJpipe 03-31-2008, 03:51 PM Sundaes at Ghiradelli's.
We have one at least every other night if not every night during vacation. Our favorite is the one they have around the Christmas season, it has two kinds of mint ice cream and fudge, whip cream and a white chocolate peppermint square....mmmmm yummy.
danyoung 04-01-2008, 08:58 AM Has anyone ever noticed how Cosmic Ray looks like Sid Caesar!?
I hadn't noticed it, but I'll have to check this out when I see Sonny this Saturday!!!
ElephantEars 04-01-2008, 11:00 AM This may change after my next trip with the dining plan, so all my choices now are "park food" not "restaraunt food."
MK: churro and dole whip
Epcot: something from the French Bakery or a sausage from Germany
MGM and Animal Kingdom...no favorites...yet!
DizzMomma 04-01-2008, 11:03 AM Must have Dole whips at Disneyland,
and at WDW must eat in Germany!!
jazzysmom 04-01-2008, 05:26 PM I'm taking notes...and drooling on them...keep em coming guys!!!! You rock my world!!!!
wishiwasthere 04-02-2008, 09:28 AM I have no idea why, but I have to have chicken fingers and a double bacon cheeseburger while at the world. To me it tastes totally different. I crave it!
I also have to have a turkey leg, roasted nuts, and kaki gori.
The thing about vacationing to Disney is that you can eat as much as you want and with all the walking you burn it off right away. So I don't feel bad :)
Mrs. GusMan 04-02-2008, 09:41 AM I always have to have a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar! Where do I get them? Anywhere (& everywhere) they are offered!
At home, I eat Dove milk chocolate ice cream bars....they are the closest thing to the real thing.
21 more days...I have 3 dove bars in the freezer to have as a treat before our trip.
ElephantEars 04-02-2008, 10:41 AM I have two goals for my trip:
I have to eat a Mickey waffle somewhere...anywhere.
And I have to get something sweet from the Boardwalk Bakery since we'll be staying at the YC.
ourtrip 04-02-2008, 02:18 PM MK - funnel cakes from Sleepy Hollow
Studios - Toluca turkey legs
AK - frozen fruit drink from one of the carts
jengold29 04-03-2008, 08:47 AM AK- lunch at Flame Tree (used to be Tusker house but haven't been there since they switched over to TS)
Epcot- Dessert from the Patissere in France (ducking head) not always mousse!
HS- Mama Melrose's has become a favorite- and any ice cream pops eaten while waiting for Fantasmic to start
MK- Worms in Dirt from Main Street Bakery (used to be able to get it everywhere, it's harder to find now) and dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern

danyoung 04-03-2008, 09:22 AM Flame Tree and Tusker House are two different restaurants and locations. Tusker is up in the Africa section, while Flame Tree Barbeque is the fast food place near the entrance to Dinoland.
