My 5 year old daughter is a Disney nut, and loves characters. What characters are available (besides superheroes) @ Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, for photos? Also, is there any character dinning- like @ Disney, and what characters are there?

In the parks it is hit or miss of when/where the characters will be seen. I've even seen Marilynn Monroe, Marx Bros and others randomly walking around.

Scheduled shows that I know of include Woody, Scooby, Grinch, Betty Boop & Popeye (I can't remember if this was random or scheduled meet and greet), Frankenstein (at the Monster Cafe), Curious George, and there was a baby dinosaur meet and greet I went to (a cast member has a baby on his lap that looks and moves quite realistic and is still cute).

Random characters I've seen add Monroe, Marx Bros, Blues Bros, Ghostbusters (the scheduled show is canceled I think), Back to the Future chars, Lucille Ball, the Terminator (was at a special event I attended).



Scooby Doo, Shrek and Fiona, Woody Woodpecker and the Nick characters are at the hotel breakfasts (I don't think you need to be a hotel quest to go to the breakfast just like Disney). Hard Rock Hotel, Porto Fino and the other resort all have one.


There is a character breakfast at the Islands of Adventure Confisco Grill with the Seuss characters too including the Who's, Thing 1 and 2 and Grinch (9 to 11 AM).
