Hey There ...

Im hoping this is the right board to get started.

We have quite a task ahead of us : getting a family of 4 adults and 5 small kids (ages 2 - 7 ) cross country for a crazy insane Disney World Adventure :) !

We want to get airline tickets within the next couple of days ... & there are so many travel websites out there - any advice as to the best one for deals etc ??

Then we need to of course book our hotels, get the park tickets, etc etc...

Were planning this for mid July ( about the 14th - on )

So many decisions to make, its a bit overwhelming ...

Any advice ( people from California that know of deals right now ? )

would be GREATLY appreciated ~ !!

Well, you are in the right place if you want to talk about getting there... :)

Personally, I use a site like expedia or travelocity to do my searching for me then once I see some ballpark figures, then I go to the airlines directly to see specifics on a particular set of flights.

Search out all the airports within a 1 to 2 hr drive from your home. Sometimes you can save big bucks by going a little out of your way.

If you are thinking about this July, then I would book everything rather quickly. At the same time, see if the airline will offer you a reservation or hold on the tickets while you get your resort accommodations worked out. (OR you can get your resort accommodations on a 10 day hold for free while you work out your flights.) That way, you are not trying to juggle things too much.

To be very honest, while I know that it is tempting to wait for last minute fares, once you see something in your budget, go for it and dont look back. With fuel prices causing fluctuation in the airline market, there is no telling what would happen.

Hope that helps for starters... :)
