We are going to Disneyland in June after a 2-year break--yea!:) My youngest daughter is 5 and I am wondering whether or not to spend a lot of time at the Princess Fantasy Faire. We are having lunch with the princesses at Ariel's Grotto--so, what does everyone like/dislike about the Faire?

I HATE, HATE, HATE the autograph area (just thinking about waiting in that line again is enough to give me nightmares!), but the rest is cute.

If you're already going to be meeting the princesses at lunch, then you'll be able to avoid the worst part of the PFF: The Royal Walk. The Royal Coronation and Princess Storytelling shows are short and sweet; Royal Wardrobe is cute, but can be very expensive. The crafts are free, but are just coloring pages and paper crowns with a set of stickers. It's fun for the 5yo age range, but I wouldn't spend hours there, especially if you don't have to wait in that horrendous line for photos and autographs.

If you are seeing the princesses at the meal I'd skip the royal walk as well. We hate the line & not knowing which princesses will be there.
My daughter was in silent tears in line the first time we went throuh it because Cinderella might not be there. Luckily, she was there & left just after we saw her. The next year we were not so lucky. My daughter was wearing her red Belle dress but Belle was not there.
We like the old way where you could find the princess-of-the-moment in "her" spot & not have to hope you get the one you want.

My DD (6) loves getting her hair done at the PFF. It can be expensive but it is so worth it.With our ap discount I think it was $40.00 for the hair and face painting. She's done it the last 3 times, and thats her souviner for the trip. She has quite a collection of tiera's . On our last trip she did it the first day, the next two days I copied how they did it, and brought glitter hair spray and did it ourselves.

Agree! Agree! Agree! I hated it so much and my daughter who was 5 at the time was behaving so well! I spent the 90 minutes mentally composing my hate letter to Disneyland.
And then my DD favorite, Sleeping Beauty was not there and we were not allowed to wait to the side until she returned. It took a lot of restraint not to lose my temper in front of my daughter.
Fortunately, we were able to get dinner reservations for that night at Ariel's Grotto. Food was okay and on the pricey side, but worth it to see the look on my DD face when Sleeping Beauty entered the room.

Thanks so much for all your feedback!! Having never been to this particular attraction, it is hard to picture all the different activities. I appreciate the help!:)
