Hi all. Long time no post :)

The hubby and I have decided to take our niece and nephew to Disneyland for their second trip

this is the thread (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=32121) for their first trip.

We are going to take them with us this Christmas for 5 days. We are so excited. And once again they have absolutely no clue. We just spent this last weekend with them and talked about it all the way home. We called my husbands parents to get their current clothing sizes, and simply told them "we want to take the kids for Christmas and we need to make sure they have warm clothes so we are going to go buy some stuff right now while its on clearance".
They think we will bring them here to Flag (since it's cold here its a safe assumption). We're planning on driving down to Phoenix on Christmas Eve...sleep for a few hours and then get the kids around 1 AM and start the drive. (it's 5 hours from Phoenix) They'll sleep the whole way anyway, so it will be cool when they wake up and we are AT Disneyland for Christmas morning :). We will of course tell his mother and my in-laws before we go, but now is too soon, they will spoil the surprise if we tell them too soon.

We have been dying to take them again after that first trip and I know they will love it, especially at Christmastime.

We're also taking them on a Disney Cruise in January 2010. So a year later they get to join us for that (again they have no clue, and we're keeping it that way) We have already made arrangements to get their birth certificates so that we can get their passports. My husband and I just got done with our first cruise on the Disney Magic in January and I am ITCHING to go again. So we decided to do a two week cruise in two years in January for my 40th. (On week was NOT long enough!!!) We will take the kids along for one week of that trip.

Yay! Now I can't wait for Christmas to roll around :D

We Do have a trip to Dland planned for July (some friends gave us dinner at Club 33 as an anniversary gift, so thats also on the radar as HUGE for this year) :)

So yeah..that's our plan.

Sounds like alot of fun! :) The only thing you might have a problem with it getting their passports if you are not there parents. Both parents must be present to apply for a minors passport. If not there are certain things that have to be done in order to obtain them. If you go on the gov't web site (travel.state.gov) it has all the info.

I read about your first trip and it was absolutely wonderful! What a great thing you are doing for those kids! All the best, and I look forward to hearing about your upcoming trip. Disneyland and Christmas...what could be better?
