Does anyone know if FP's are available during the morning EMH at the parks? For example, if I'm going to Animal Kindgom on a Monday, arrive by 8:00 at the beginning of the EMH, and decide I want to ride Kilimanjaro Safaris first, could I stop by Expedition Everest first and pick up a FP for that? Or do the FP machines not start working until the EMH is over?

Last time I was there you could get them during EMH.

It's my recollection that you can't get a FP until park opening, but I could be wrong.

I've seen it both ways - I think partially dependent on the attraction and how popular it is.

on all the EMH mornings we went to, FPs were available on all rides BUT there is reason to be careful before getting one; often times the first available return time will be an hour after regular park opening; eg at 8am you could get a FP with a return time of 9.40! However, not all attractions did this - eg Peter Pan was always available with a 40 minute return window even when WP was not, so we learned to look before we retrieved a FP (eg at MK we collected 2 of the early-return FPs from Peter Pan and still managed to collect a WP FP (our 3rd of the day) with a 9.45 return time... a much better FP technique in my opinion... At AK we noticed the same thing - eg EE was available with a 40 minute return but Kali was 1.40 hours. I am guessing it has something to do with staffing levels at particular attractions.
