View Full Version : Fast Pass changes
rasco 03-26-2008, 09:22 PM Hi all...
I heard that you can no longer hold 2 or more fastpass tickets, that you have to use the 1 first before getting another, is this true? Leaving April 17th for the happiest place on earth!
dlandfan 03-26-2008, 11:12 PM Not true. We were at Disneyland on Tuesday (3/25/08) from 8:00am on and collected fastpasses every two hours or less and then used most of them in the evening when the park was jammed.
Chadsgal 03-27-2008, 03:41 AM There is no way for them to know if you have used your previous fastpass or not because you don't have to scan your passport to use it. The rule is you do have to wait until your other one is past its time or 2hrs from getting your last one. I am sure they hope that you use your FP when it is due and then get another one so you would then only have one at a time.
Darkbeer has a very detailed how to for FP just search for it here. It is how I learned to use them. :)
The old man 03-27-2008, 07:10 AM Are some FP's still offlline at certain times of the year? Is there a way to check before getting to the park?

I don't think there is any way to check unless someone can check for you today...
From what I know... Roger Rabbit and Grizzly River are the only two that have been disconnected from the regular system.

Thank you. I put my question wrong. I'm really trying to find out which FP attractions do not offer FP on a certain day.
VickiC 03-27-2008, 10:40 AM HM is only during the holidays. Buzz, Mulolland MAdness, Thunder Mountain and Roger Rabbit I've seen not offering them when the standby line is 10 minutes or less. I'm sure there are others that will not offer them when the sandby line is very short but those are the ones I've persoanlly experienced. They can cut the staff by 2-3 people per ride by not offering them.
Mermaid 03-27-2008, 06:37 PM One thing to note is check the time it says "A new fastpass is available at..." When I was there last month we repeatedly got FP allowing us to get new ones before the first was due and/or the two hour window was up. There was no consistency to it either. Like on Space we could get another FP like 40 minutes later but on Buzz it was 20 minutes later. It was really weird. We just figured they must have been experimenting with the system and went with it!!

This post really confuses me. Are you saying that when it says, "Another FP will be available at 2pm" you were able to get one earlier? This is different then saying, "get new ones before the first was due and/or the two hour window was up." There is no two hour window, it's based on many factors, it often is two hours, but not always. I think.
calmingweight 03-28-2008, 09:51 AM FYI - While we had a fast pass for the Big Thunder Mtn Railroad, we were able to get another FP for Muhollan (?) Madness. There's a posting that explains which ones are linked and which are not.
IdahoMike 03-28-2008, 09:59 AM If I'm not mistaken, you could get at least 4 fastpasses at the same time if you worked it right (you could obviously hold many more than that, if you didn't use them right away).
Scenario:
Get FP for Space first thing, then go get FP for Roger Rabbit (not linked to FP system)
Then, go to DCA, get FP for Soarin', then go get FP for Grizzly (not linked).
As far as I remember, the 2 parks are not linked to each other, and then Roger Rabbit and Grizzly are not linked at all. Someone correct me if that is not the case now.

No. LOL!! I was having a hard time explaining it so I had a feeling it would be confusing!
Usually, the rule is you can get another FP when the window opens for your current one OR two hours after you got the current one, whatever comes first. For example: You get a Space FP at 8:30AM. The window is 9:30-10:30 so you can get a new one at 9:30. But, if the window is 11:00-12:00, you would be able to get a new one at 10:30 (two hours after you got the FP). On the bottom it tells you what time another FP is available but I know the rules, so I generally don't even look at that!
Last trip, we got a Space FP at 8:30 with a window of 9:30-10:30 so I assumed we could get another one at 9:30. But, when I later looked at the FP, the bottom said "Another Fast Pass will be available at 9:10." So, before my window opened. This happened all day long where we could get new FP way before the system generally allows. The time printed on the FP was the time it was available, it was just not the way the machines usually run, so we were pleasantly surprised.
I hope that explains it better.... I am afraid not though!

That is correct! I am not that intense so I don't usually run around that much, but you can do that!! :p
