Hello Everyone,

I think the answer to this is I am screwed but I thought I would ask anyway. We went to Disneyland today and my son's friend entered on a 2fer (day 1) he lost the ticket which had the California Adventure admission on it good for the next time. His mother bought the ticket online for him and he handed over the printed ticket in order to get the card ticket they hand out at the gates. Is there anyway she could just reprint the ticket from home and use that for the 2nd day's admission or do you have to have the acutal card they trade you for at the gate? I don't know if the numbers/barcodes on the 2 are somehow linked to where they could tell he had only used one day or not. Thanks in advance!

Kristina

I don't think you can reprint the ticket and use it for the second day. I would suggest calling DLR and asking if you have any options. Maybe they can track the ticket to get you a replacement.

Unfortunately tickets are non-replaceable and should be treated just like cash.

My brother once lost his 5 day hopper on the 2nd day of our trip. We think he dropped it when he was getting a fastpass. Luckily, we were INSIDE Disneyland when it happened, and we had booked our trip through a travel package.

We went to City Hall, and they told us the hoppers were just like cash, and that if someone turned it into lost and found we would get it back by the end of the day.

When that didn't happen, we went back to City Hall, and they said they were sorry, but they couldn't replace it. I put up a very big stink (We're talking a couple hundred bucks here, and everyone in our party had the same ticket, plus we had proof we'd purchased them in our travel documents) and they finally replaced it.

We are VERY careful with our hopper tickets now. They really are like carrying $200 in cash around. $200 that you have to pull in and out of your pocket all day and stick into a Fastpass machine.

I can understand why they have to be treated like cash-- but it is very frustrating when you lose them. :( Best of luck to you.

Although non-transferable, people do sell the second day of their 2-fer on ebay. You can probably get the DCA ticket for $10 or $20.

My wife misplaced her ticket on day 3 of 5. We tried and tried, even showing proof of purchase of all 4 days and telling them the exact number on the back of the ticket. No go. I don't know how you convinced them otherwise, but I sure wish we could have done the same.

I know it's awful. We spent 4 hours of the day in City Hall, and I put up a really big stink. The thing was, we were like 20 years old on vacation there from Seattle, and we didn't have the money to replace the park hopper. It would have ruined our entire trip. I don't usually make a scene, but sometimes you need to. You know, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, or whatever.

I have told this story many times, but… I once lost a ticket, had documentation showing the lost ticket number and they still would not replace it. Lost and found, however, did have a huge stack of tickets turned in and most of the other conversations I overheard in my four visits to lost and found was people having lost tickets. In all cases they told the people they were out of luck. I was given a replacement ticket in the end but all the people around me were not. It was just capricious that I got one -- the guy took pity and used some kind of discretionary allotment he is given? I don't know.

My recommendation is to check in with lost and found frequently, but don't expect anything.

I too misplaced a 3 day park hopper on day two before I got into the park. Stood in line at Guest Services in the rain for an hour only to get told...too bad. I was able to show proof of purchase, and the ticket numbers all around mine from the rest of my group, and eventually the comprimised and gave me a 1 day "complimentary pass" for that day. Luckily my wayward ticket turned up before I needed it on day three, otherwise I would have had to purchase a new ticket for my final day. Surely would have ruined my trip. You can bet that I take good care of my tickets now! Lesson learned!!

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, he lost it off property at a restaurant after our day at Disneyland. I think he left it on the table and of course by the time we realized it we were half way home. I called the restaurant but the table had already been cleared. We have AP but he came along with us and we had planned on having him go again in a couple of weeks with the 2nd half of the ticket. He is only 12 so hopefully these types of things will teach them to be more responsible :)

Since the ticket was purchased on line you would think that Disney would have a way to track the use by the ticket number or something. With all the fancy computer equipment we have nowadays it doesn't seem that difficult.
