What time of day does the festival booths operate? Are they open in the evening? We were thinking it might be a nice option for dinner- snack around the world.

The booths are open during the park hours for the World Showcase -or 11am-9pm.

It CAN be a nice meal, but it can also get spendy! Some people like using snack credits from the Disney Dining Plan, but I like to try just about everything (food wise) over the course of a trip (and I plan my October trips to be long enough to do this!), so that wouldn't be much of a help to me!

I've tried this! Its definitley a fun experience, where else can you taste food from each country by just walking there =D I also loved how walking and eating somehow made the food more enjoyable. We would get 1 or two things from each menu then split it, (most of the time only 1 thing) some countries we skipped, we had deserts inbetween even, and we were for sure full when we got to the end!

2 years ago I used all 6 of my snack credits for one meal at the Epcot food booths, and it worked out great. Since I enjoy the wine with the food, I've never made it more than halfway around the world (hic!), but it is a really fun and interesting way to enjoy a meal.

We went on an EMH evening where the park is open 3 hours longer for resort guests. I did not think the booths would stay open but was pleasantly surprised to see that they did.

Waaaaa! I'm not going to be able to make it to F&W until 2009. :(

I ate halfway around the World Showcase one day for dinner with my parents, and then a few days later went back and did the other half. I loved it! We are going back this year because it was so great!

I just found out that Spyro Gyra, one of my favorite light jazz groups, is going to be playing the Festival in mid-October. I'm so there!!!

I love SpyroGyra. I've seen them in concert a few times (years ago) and they are wonderful. Have a great time!

I didn't know they released the actual dates the concerts would be. Where can I see that?

They haven't. I just read that new acts were being included this year, including Spyro Gyra. I went to their website and looked at their touring schedule.
