What's your opinion of this restaurant? I noticed on the menu they have lobster. Is there anywhere else that you can get lobster for one table credit?

If I could ask, where are you from? If you are anywhere within fresh seafood - skip Capt' Jacks. We found it to be typical pre-frozen or fried seafood....it was just okay. Of course, this is just our opinion. And we've only been there once. I know others really like it.

I've only eaten at Cap'n Jack's once, about a year ago. Once I got over my disappointment that they didn't have oysters (they used to be called Cap'n Jack's Oyster Bar), I really enjoyed my meal there. I thought it was fresh and tasty, and the service was excellent. Didn't have the lobster, so I can't help you there.

I have never used the dining plan, don't know how table credits work, etc.

But: If you're looking for seafood at Downtown Disney, I recommend either Fulton's or Puck's (downstairs). Either are miles better than Cap'n Jack's.

In my opinion, Cap'n Jack's has always seemed like the WDW version of Red Lobster. I can't deny its popularity, though. I also think it was a notch above in quality back when they used to be called Cap'n Jack's Oyster Bar.

I had dinner there once, back in 2001. I remember liking it, and feeling that the food was fresh tasting. Can't honestly remember what I had, though... You might want to check out reviews of Cap'n Jack at allearsnet.com under "Rate and Review." The reviews there are pretty current.
