View Full Version : 1900 Park Fare vs Cinderella's Royal Table
jmjwillis 03-24-2008, 06:28 AM How does the Cinderella character dinner at 1900 Park Fare compare to breakfast @ Cinderella's Royal Table? I know it's the difference between 1 table service credits vs 2 table credits for CRT. My daughter wants to meet Cinderella, but I'm not sure I would get my money's worth at CRT. Any info and opinions would be appreciated.

We did the dinner a couple of years ago, and enjoyed it. It's a decent buffet. It's only the Cinderella characters, including Prince Charming. When we were there, they had the mice (which my younger daughter did not appreciate, having no use for giant rodents), but I understand that they now have the stepsisters (maybe someone else can confirm this), which would make for fun character interaction. Most of the little girls were in princess costume. You can also order wine and other alcoholic drinks at the GF, which, of course, are not served at the MK. It's worth it.
TravelPlanner 03-24-2008, 04:53 PM We were there in December. Cinderella and Prince Charming were there as well as the step mother and the step sisters. They were hilarious!
tink72 03-24-2008, 05:41 PM Have not been to CRT but went to 1900 Feb 12. The stepsisters & stepmother were awesome, soo in character! They made the night, Cinderella & Charming were great to see, spent a good amount of time @ table. Great dessert selection!
GusMan 03-24-2008, 07:45 PM Personally, unless you are dead set on going to CRT, 1900PF is a very good alternative, and I share in the many postive comments already stated above.
Yes, eating at the castle is awesome, the food is good and the characters are fantastic, but it is very pricey and I am not sure it is worth a full 2 credits on the DDP. (I would pay out of pocket, myself...)

They do not, however, serve lunch.
Meisha B 03-25-2008, 07:38 AM I have reservations at CRT and after reading all of these reviews am wondering if I need to change.
How much is the price difference?
My daughter is 5, if CRT is all about eating in the castle and that's the excitement of it, I'm not sure how exciting that would be.

Don't underestimate the excitement of eating in the castle. It's VERY cool - and I think a 5 year old would really enjoy it.
scoobydooby 03-25-2008, 04:00 PM I looked into this and the castle won because basically eating in 'the castle' is the big deal to my daughter. I don't think she cares what characters are there and looking at the breakfast menu I'm paying a small fortune for her to basically eat some yoghurt, but all of this is besides the point. Not getting inside that beautiful castle was a real upset for her last year and her moment will be made when she steps through the door! However, she'd seen the castle before I made this rash economic choice - if your DD hasn't the 1900 may be a good alternative.
live to vacation 03-28-2008, 02:52 PM We were lucky enough to get into the castle for bfast in 2004 when my daughter was 4. I'd have to say both being in the castle and seeing Cinderella were cool for her.
This time we are doing dinner at 1900 Park to see a different side of Cinderella.
If your daughter is younger, I'd go CRT to get more princesses and the castle under your belt and save 1900 for a later trip to enjoy the interaction with the steps at 1900.
I know it's more $$$, but that's my 2 cents.
tchatters 03-29-2008, 09:44 AM It's been a year and my 5 year old SON still talks about the amazing experience of lunch at CRT! He has his wishing star in his bedroom and gets dreamy eyed when anyone mentions Fairy Godmother. I think it's a once in a lifetime kind of thing that is true Disney magic. We haven't been to 1900 but he's been to plenty of other character meals both in WDW and DL. CRT is the one he dreams about!
Meisha B 03-29-2008, 02:58 PM I already switched to 1900 Park Fare for an 820 dinner...not too thrilled about the time, but oh well. Maybwe will do CRT next time. And, isn't Cinderella also at Park Fare? What about Askerhaus? Aren't all the princesses there?

They don't promise any particular princess at the Norway restaurant, but we have encountered Cinderella there, so consider that a maybe. You are more likely to see Mulan (I know, not, technically a princess). We've seen Mary Poppins at CRT, but not always. Park Fair is Cinderella characters only.
ssmerdel 03-30-2008, 05:39 AM We ate at CRT in June 2006. It was the first character meal we had ever attended, since this was our first trip to WDW and our first full day, and we really enjoyed it. DD was only 4, almost 5, at the time and we were the first ones in line, as our ADR was for 8am. They hit a gong and announced our whole family had arrived. It was so cool. The breakfast was good and the princesses made my daughter light up. The waiters and waitresses called us Lords and MyLadys. Cinderella was downstairs, as you get a picture with her. Then while we were eating Fairy Godmother, Belle, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Snow White came around to the tables for pictures and autographs. They were great with the kids. My daughter loved this place and talks about it still. Even though it is 2 credits on the meal plan, we would definately go back. This is just my 2 cents. :)
