I would at least call the day of and make a reservation. I think the later you go the better chance you would have for dinner.

With ANY table service restaurant, you're luck at getting in without an ADR is dependent on the time of year you're going. If you want to try a restaurant, make an ADR. You can even make them after you're on your trip, from your resort phone - or at a guest services location at a park or resort. I highly recommend at least trying to do a same-day vs just walking up.

Your chances would improve greatly if you tried to get a same day ADR rather than a walkup. Just be flexible in your times.

Of course, you should try before you leave for your trip just to see about availability. That will help set some expectations as to how busy they will be.

for dinner? nil. if that much.

Disney does not set aside any tables for walkups. some restaurants do entertain them on their own accord, but ohana is VERY popular for dinner.

I was there in early August last year for an ADR. A lady in front of me was trying to get a table as a walk-in (this was around 6:00 PM) and was told there would be a minimum 2 hour wait. Did you try ADR's yet? Check back every couple of days because people do change their plans and cancel. Depends on how much lead time you have available, though...
