Good Morning All!

We are going to the World May 20 - 25 for my son's 2nd birthday (May 24). I want to eat at really fun places that day for him. I have ADRs at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and Crystal Palace for dinner (Mickey, Donald and Tigger are his favorites!)...looking for opinions as to whether or not these are good choices for celebrating his special day...

Also, has anyone done the Pirate/Princess Party?

Thanks!

60 Days to go!

These seem like great ideas. We took our son last year to Chef Mickeys he got a place mat and a cupcake with candles to blow out. They also put a happy birthday at the corner of the pictures we ordered. It was great. Also do you know you can order a cake from Disney for his birthday. For a small one I don't think you even have to call ahead. Have a wonderful trip!

My daughter celebrated her 4th birthday at Disney. One of the birthday meals we had was at the Crystal Palace. We noted it on our reservation. They had the table decorated with confetti, all the characters visited at the same time and they brought her a cupcake and a card signed by all the characters. We had a great time and my daughter enjoyed all the special attention she recieved.

Personally, I think those are two of the better places to celebrate a child's birthday. They both have a festive atmosphere and very good service. If your sons birthday is on the ADR and you mention it when you check in, chances are some extra "magic" will come your way.

As for the Pirate and Princess Party, take a look at this link (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=88349) in the Touring the Parks forum. (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/forumdisplay.php?f=65)

My first trip was when I was for my 5th and we did the Character Breakfast at the Contemporary, so that's why I chose Chef Mickey's! I'm so glad to hear that you all think my choices are good ones! I will call and double check that the ADRs say it is his birthday....

Thanks!

Chef Mickey's might be your single best bet for a fun birthday dinner. The Whispering Canyon Cafe is a really fun choice for kids (non-character meal), but I wouldn't choose it over Chef Mickey's for a 2 year old's birthday.
