I have lived in the county virtually my whole life, but am directionally challenged. I know this is a dumb question, but somehow I keep ending up taking the most circuitous routes! I tried Disney Drive from the carpool lane, but that couldn't have been right. I also tried Harbor or something. I can't even remember, but it was frustrating. Should I go Katella? Is there a better way when it is busy vs. less busy? Thanks!

Oh, I'm coming north on the 5.

I'd get off on Harbor, turn right (N), make a left on Ball Rd (W- this is the first light after the exit), left on Disneyland Dr.(second light after Harbor), stay to the left and it will take you to the parking structure.

Yup, that's how we do it. When you get off Harbor, get in the middle lane (so you can turn right and then get in the left lane), and then it's pretty easy from there.

I would recommend this route over the carpool exit as well.

This is great info! As someone who does not usually drive in the resort area I was always wondering how you got to that structure.

This time we will have a rental car and are staying at the Carousel. We will have to move our car on the last day or pay $25! So I know how to get to M&F now. If I wanted to park in DTD lot instead and get the 3 free hours, how would I drive to get there?

Thanks!

When you turn left onto Disneyland Dr. stay to the right when the road splits. Over the bridge and right at the light (W. Magic Way) and left into the DTD lot.

Have you tried looking at a MAP?

Have you tried looking at a MAP?

Maps can be pretty confusing if you don't know the area that well, specifically around Disneyland.

He/she said he/she has lived in the county all his/her life. If you can follow directions from people on this site, you should be able to read a map.

Now for the important part, if you can't figure out how to get where you want to go... take a bus or call a cab. We do not need people driving cars who do not know where they are or where they should turn... Get my drift?

Also, when exiting the parking structure, you wil see a bridge to your left with bright signs saying "5 Freeway". it looks really confusing because there are a lot of yellow "cones" directing traffic, and everyone seems to get confused, like they are going to miss the right road. Just remember, all roads lead to the 5 freeway, and if you go ove the bridge to the left, or under the bridge to the right, and through the light at Ball Road, you will find the freeway just fine.
