Drince88 03-18-2008, 05:13 AM Only one value resort has "Family Suites" and it only has one "real" bed. If you have more kids than adults and need two rooms, you can usually get connecting rooms, but those are not guaranteed unless you're in that particular situation (and then check when you make reservations on the specifics). You can REQUEST connecting rooms (which are different from adjoining - adjoining you have to go outside to get between the rooms), but they aren't guaranteed. soccerlady16 03-18-2008, 10:33 PM Well we are 4 adults in our 20's. Will one room be to crowded? I heard that they are small. It will be more fun to share a living space. But a suite at a moderate resort will be to $$. Drince88 03-19-2008, 05:14 AM How many females? Because if you are all women, then you really do want to get 2 rooms, so you have 2 bathrooms! It also depends on how long you're going. If a short 'long weekend' trip, I don't think I'd hesitate to do 1 room with all 4 of you (if you can handle just 1 bathroom), but much longer, I'd want 2 rooms. But, I'm older than you, and I'm 'willing to pay for comfort' that may not be an option for you. If you decide to do two rooms at either level of resort, have 1 person make the reservation and request adjoining or connecting. You likely won't get connecting, but for what you want, adjoining isn't that bad, IMHO. I did it when I went with 2 sisters and a BIL, and we 'hung out' in one room when we weren't getting ready. tjrj 03-20-2008, 02:41 PM Yes, the value resort rooms are small. Myself and two teen ds's were pretty cramped-but for a couple of days-when you aren't in the room much-it could work. 2 rooms at a value wouldn't be that much more than 1 single room at a moderate and it would give you another bathroom-and space to get away from each other and more storage space. Possibly renting dvc points for a 1 bedroom-but then you'd either have to switch off who gets the bed and who gets the pullouts. I've actually heard that the family suite pullouts are fairly comfortable but can't speak from personal experience. Sue Holland 03-22-2008, 12:02 PM 4 adults in 1 room is NO vacation! If you're couples - you should want your privacy. If you're all same sex, why on earth would you want to share a bed with a pal?? The value, moderate & deluxe resorts all have many connecting rooms. That would be 2 identical regular rooms but with a connecting set of doors in the common wall. Not sure why 4 adults would need that - as you can simply use the front door if going from one room to the other. The value rooms are really just for sleeping - just 2 beds and a table with 2 small chairs. danyoung 03-22-2008, 04:43 PM If you're all same sex, why on earth would you want to share a bed with a pal?? OT - Ahh, memories of my showbiz days, when 7 guys and 3 girls shared 3 hotel rooms. The girls got their own room, and the other two rooms held 4 guys and 3 guys. Sharing a bed with another hairy-legged musician - priceless! Wendy Bird 04-04-2008, 09:09 AM OT - Ahh, memories of my showbiz days, when 7 guys and 3 girls shared 3 hotel rooms. OOO la-la Does anyone know how noisy it gets meaning do you hear through the walls, kid running down the hall or screaming in the middle of the night? I though we'd try the jazz suite vs the cabins this year to try and save some $$ and time... it seemed we miss half of the busses |
