Does anyone know which family members of military personnel qualify to stay at Shades of Green with the eligible military person? My brother might be coming to WDW with my son and I in August, and he is a reservist Air Force sergeant. I am wondering if "family members" means only immediate family, like wife, husband, son or daughter.... Does anyone know if a sister and nephew could stay at SOG with the eligible person? We would be in two rooms.

I stayed there about 4 years ago so I don't know if it changed. My dh is in the Army National Guard and we stayed there and because we were staying there we were able to get a room for my mom and dad and a room for my brother and his family. I think as long as your brother is staying there then you guys can stay there too in a different room. I think there is a limit on how many rooms he can reserve but it sounds like you only need 2. Your brother can called them. I think you could even call them with questions. They are really helpful and nice. I hope I answered your question.

That is a big help, thanks so much! Once I confirm that my brother will be joining us, I'll have him give SOG a call. The resort looks lovely... did you enjoy it? Looks like you can walk to the Polynesian from there. The rates are amazing!

I really enjoyed it. When we were there they were remodeling. Our room was on the bottom floor and our patio was facing the golf course and pond(I think). I never got to go in the pool but it looked really nice.

I don't remember what the name of the resort we walked to but it did have the monorail so it made getting around easy. The prices are really good.

Your brother will be able to sponser up to 3 rooms and his guests can be anyone. You can check out more info @ www.shadesofgreen.org and go to elilgibility. I believe it's the Polynesian that is walking distance.
