My family plans on visiting both water parks in June, but my parents are only going to come with us one day. They are trying to decide which wp to go to. We've all been to BB and they don't mind returning. They want a lazy river which will suit them fine at both parks, however, my mom wants to know if one has more shade than the other. I don't remember much shade at BB. Does anyone have a preference for a couple in their 60's?
Another thing, our local pools are picky about rivets on swimsuits. We can't seem to find any that don't have some, at least on the drawstring part. Does anyone know if Disney is picky about this too?
Thanks

We do not allow people on the slides who have metal on their swimsuits which could possibly scrape on (and damage) the slides. However, if not doing the slides there is no problem.

I personally like the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon better. I believe it is also shadier.
But I could be wrong, its been a long time since I was at Blizzard Beach.

I'm not sure about the shade, but it might be fun for them to see the theming at TL. I love both of them!
As far as "rivets" go, if you're talking about the small metal rings where the drawstring comes out on men's/boy's suits, we've never had anyone question that, just about all men's suits have them. All five of the males in my family have never had a problem with that at either of the water parks.

Thanks so much for your feedback, I knew you guys could help. We'll plan on TL for the group.
Yes, I was referring to the rivets around the drawstrings. We can't find any trunks without them.

IMHO, TL definately has more shade than BB. Plus, the sun seems to reflect off the "snow", so you get a double dose of it. I've read that BB is more popular with the locals, so maybe that's why it feels more crowded to me (or it could have just been the day we went) I vote for TL everytime. Altho the family raft ride at TL is lame and way too short.
