Thanks Brad! Did you happen to take note of how big the lettering is that you can do yourself? A friend of a friend is kicking around the idea of proposing on a hat. Would he be able to fit XXXX would you marry me? on it or even just Marry me?

all i can offer there is you can see on one of the samples, it says SAM in those letters if that helps any. 'marry me' doesn't sound like a problem. i still like the idea of multiple hats with something like 'Mary' 'May' embroidered though.

So, I created my own mouse ears today!

It's just a small section of the Gag's/Nickel & Dime store in toontown. Here is my opinion of it:

Pros:
You get to create your own mouse ears!
There were about 7 different ears, 7 different bases and maybe 20 patches.

Cons:
You have to actually choose (and narrow down) the pieces. That was so hard!
Need to tweak instructions. It tells you to put the ears together, but you shouldn't in all cases. (Embroidery or steaming patches.)
Great concept, but need more items to choose from (more bases, more ears, more patches).
No advertising. It's in toontown, so a lot of people will miss it.
Need it's own store with more room.
Needs better lighting (I ended up with a navy blue base and meant to get black).
Price -- can be more expensive than normal mouse ears. I got a base, 2 ears and 2 patches for $19.something... Stiching was $6(normal) or $7(premium colored and style) more.

All-in-all, I think it's great and I would love to see it expand!

at least stitiching used to be free. now they charge for that too (on the new ears)... is charging on basic ears not far behind?

We were there Thursday.

One of my teenagers liked them. I wasn't overwhelmed.

The various pink ears and options (fuzzy or flocked) were cute.

There were some options for bridal ears that were cute (rhinestones) but I didn't see a veil. You could make a Happy Birthday hat but I've seen cuter pre-made ones in the park.

You could make several cute hats but I didn't see a lot of choices overall. Some of the patches looked fairly cheap and their weren't that many to choose from. Also, once you put on your ears and your name, there isn't room for all that many patches.

Patches are $2.95. I think ear bases were $6 and ears might have also been $6. I believe they sew the patches on for free but didn't see anything explaining prices for name sewing.

I think over time, if they develop some more choices, or rotate choices in or out, you could have a good time here and/or end up with something really special. For now, it was fun to visit but I'd rather pick out something at one of the bigger hat stores.

If you're an ear fanatic, however, by all means go!

If you have the name put on there with the new font, I think it's $7.00. But, you can take it to any of the other hat shops and get it for free. :)

Daughter and Granddaughter did one and they plan on adding a new patch for each trip back! FUN!!!!

TTFN:)

Oh, I am SO doing this when we go next month. I don't mind paying a few extra dollars for the fun factor. :D
