Someone mentioned this in another thread, that not only did the ECV not get you to the front of the line, but sometimes it makes it take longer than the regular line. What attractions do you find this to be true about?

not sure if the OP wants an answer or not, but my experience is that with both Pirates and Haunted Mansion the wait can be longer . . . . the queue for Pirates is through the exit--you can often see a line there, and I think they only allow a certain number of ECV/wheelchair users at a time on the ride (in case of an evacuation). Same with Haunted Mansion--only two ECV/wheelchair riders can be in the ride at a time so if there are already two in there you have to wait . .. .

In disneyland the HCA wait areas/lines that can take longer than the regular standby lines are Pirates, Splash, Haunted, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, the Disneyland train HCA car. The fact that you can not use Fast pass with an ECV on Space makes that wait long no matter what you do.

Add to MammaSilva's list It's a Small World. That line always frustrates me. It would be so much faster if they just let us use the regular line. All of these lines I would prefer to park the ECV and walk the line, but with the Service Pup, we don't have that option.

Also, Buzz can be longer if you need the wheelchair cart. You wait in the regular line, when you get to the front, you go thru the door marked with the wheelchair, then you wait til the wheelchair accessible cart comes around. And if there are several groups waiting, you wait til its your turn there...

All rides have a limit on the number of guests with disabilities that can ride at once due to evac limits. Wait times will really depend on how busy the park is.

I guess I am fortunate that I am ambulatory enough that I can stand for short periods, so there are SOME rides that I could potentially stand in the regular line (with FP if avail.) I just wanted to know which lines I should check (to see how long they are). Thanks so much for all of your input!

Be sure that you park the ECV a bit away from the CMs that are at the head of the queue since most of the time they'll redirect you to the HCA line if they see you. They really do try to make the experience as nice as possible for all the guests.

I second that about parking the ECV away from the queue if you decide to use the regular line. They are very insistent! :) And when you go to get a fastpass at Space Mountain, the CM will always tell you about the HC line -- every time! But it was a fairly long walk uphill and I didn't want to do it too many times, so I'd just smile and thank them but tell them I planned to wait in the line anyway. I really just used the ECV to save steps from hiking all over the parks. I'd have been in pain about 2 hours after arrival!

Also, the Monorail wait can be longer since they only have one ECV/wheelchair per train.
