mom22gls 03-16-2008, 04:34 AM I'm not going to address each day, but some of the attractions can have pretty long waits, which will cut into your time. I suggest that, on the Epcot day you want to do Soarin', go there first, right at park opening. That will cut down on the waiting time, considerably. My daughter loves that ride, and has been able to do it twice, by doing it first thing, before the lines get long. If you really like it, you can also ride it and get a Fastpass for later, to do it again. You may be tempted to do Spaceship Earth first, because you will walk right by it, but, by the time you get back to Soarin' the lines will be much longer. Some of the shows you want to do, particularly at Pixar (is that what MGM is now?) are not continuous runs, like the Motor show, and BATB, so you have to work around the schedule. Some of the rides that do run continuously, will take little time-for example the Figment ride, is a walk on with little or no waiting time. I recommend that you prioritize your list, and do what you really want first, especially if it is a popular ride, with significant wait times. That way, if you do run out of time, you won't leave disappointed.
jengold29 03-16-2008, 05:00 AM That's a pretty tight schedule and some of those days look impossible accomplish (to me). For example your Friday June 6th- Ellen's Energy Adventure takes at least 1 hour, IMHO there's no way to fit the rest of that schedule into a 2 hour period.
It doesn't seem like you factored in enough walking, waiting, character meeting, snacking, looking around stores time at all.
I agree that you should prioritize what you really want to see and go do that first and do the rest of your day accordingly.
Cheshire Figment 03-16-2008, 06:29 AM When you say 12:00pm do you mean Noon or Midnight?
If Noon, forget it. If Midnight no problem.
Drince88 03-16-2008, 07:51 AM When you say 12:00pm do you mean Noon or Midnight?
If Noon, forget it. If Midnight no problem.
That was my thought, exactly.
(And mom22gls - Disney Hollywood Studios is the new name for the Disney-MGM Studios - I've always called it "The Studios", so I don't have to change :D - (And just make sure nobody thinks I'm talking about Universal Studios!))
live to vacation 03-16-2008, 01:58 PM I meant, noon.
The UnOfficial Guilde gives you waiting times per 100 people in front of you to go with these schedules, and what I've pulled together are all sets they list as being from rope drop till lunch, but they don't specify what time they eat lunch. Maybe it's midnight! They do use FastPass, which we will do, so for the moring in Epcot, they say to grab a FastPass for Soarin on your way to Test Track, then do the rest of the attractions in the list till you get to Soarin FastPass time. Same for the morning at the studios, they say to grab a FastPass for Rock N Roller Coaster on the way to Tower of Terror. They also say to skip one attraction for every 20 minutes you use meeting characters, eating, etc. I was wondering is we would get it all done in the time alloted, it seemed like it was pushing it.
I will mark some as ok to skip, in case we spend a lot of time in lines, doing character meets, etc.
HisKid1 03-16-2008, 01:59 PM Also, you didn't figure in time to get to shows early enough to actually get a seat.
I think you need to take most of the time periods you have listed, and cut them by HALF, and then you will have a comfortable margin and can throw in an extra attraction or 2 if you have time.
I really like the UoG plans. Used them for every trip to DL and to WDW last May. That said...
1. what are the ages of your party? Are the attractions listed critical to everyone's happiness? Because I feel that some of them can definitely be skipped. What worked for us-have everyone in the party list their must do's-3-5 depending on the time you're spending in each park. Some will overlap-for example everyone wanted to do Soarin. That way, everyone hits their highs, and you have room to fit in other "maybes" based on your schedule.
2. Yes, you need to factor in waiting time-Nemo and Friends stage show-we didn't wait in line at all-but waited in the theater itself for at least 40 minutes while they jammed everyone in.
3. Have you looked on the UoG site for a list of their "best days/best parks"? That was helpful in planning which park on certain days.
4. Maximize your Fastpasses to decrease your wait times. It's really nice to walk by a line of people, show your pass, and voila-you walk onto the ride. Our mantra-always have a fastpass. Yes, in most cases, they can be used after the listed time.
DoodleMushyBoo 03-17-2008, 08:25 AM [/COLOR]You are definitly ambitious (not to mention organized! A person after my own heart! :D) i just tagged my thoughts on your list :)

The Seas Main Tank good timeS!
Turtle Talk With Crush great for kids! (and big adult type kids!)

Test Track fast pass this or mission space and/or soarin. . . they are all easily 2 hour lines without one on some days
Mission: Space i'd start the day by getting a fast pass and then doing other, not as popular rides
Jouney Into Imagination With Figment always has been one of my FAVORITE rides. . .
Honey, I Shrunk The Audience pretty good, not sure of showtimes though.
Soarin' according to my fiance , of the three thrill rides, this is the one to miss if you have to miss one of the three (mission space, test track or soarin)

I hope this helps you out! have fun! :)
Why so little time? You only have 2.5 - 3 hours allotted for each day.
scoobydooby 03-17-2008, 11:17 AM live to vacation - I think you've got a bit too much in but for the mornings if you are at the front at rope drop (being at the back of the early crowd is not the same) you might just get through it so long as you don't stop for any characters. You will need to get either a Soarin or Test Track fast pass first thing to do both in a morning and even this is hard because they are on opposite sides of Future World. I think if you added an extra hour to each plan you'd have more of a fighting chance. I've just written my TP's as well and I tend to allocate 1 hour for every 2 rides. An hour for shows often. Some take less and some longer but according to the law of averages this has worked well for me before. I also account for eating time / parades / travel as when I did this I realised I had got far too much in my plans. I really like the UOG plans but tend to find we can't sustain them in an afternoon when the crowds really swell. I find the morning parts of the plans work a treat so long as you are there near the front at rope drop.
This is an example of how I write my daily TP's. Hope you have loads of fun :)
