Hi...well I got to looking at the Homewood Suites - and it looks like it'd save us a good bit of money - there will be four adults and two kids...we were planning on the Hojo (got the $59/night Entertainment rate)...but we can get Homewood suites for $98/night and that includes hot breakfast and light dinner M-Th...for all of us, I think that's a pretty good deal.

We are trying to figure out how all of the transportation would work...we normally stay within walking distance...never have used ART. I will be using an ECV...how will it work with ART? Will it be better for me to just drive the ECV down to the parks?

We will be spending probably 10 days at Disneyland...I'm wondering if it would be more convenient for the other five people to take ART - or to drive and park - we have APs and I'm guessing we can add parking onto a Deluxe pass...I just have never parked at the parks (since we always have stayed within walking distance).

Oh, we will probably have a stroller too - since the four year old will need it...though the thought that we could probably rent one (or get it free with the Disney Visa) if we're not walking to and from the hotel.

So...basically, I guess my question is...what do you think the best way for all of us to get to and from the park each day will be??

I see the prices for ART are $12 for a five day adult pass - and then kiddos are only $4 for the five days. So we'd have to get two of those each - which will come to $88 (assuming I just drive down to the park on ECV). Adding parking onto a pass would be $59...so that's cheaper, but is it better??

How is it to park and leave during the day from Disney parking if we choose to do that? I am thinking if we're going to stay at the Homewood suites then we will probably come back for their free dinner M-Th. Fri-Sun we'd just stay all day. How will that affect things - coming and going if we are parking in disney parking?

Hope my questions aren't too jumbled...I had surgery recently and I just took some pain meds lol.

Thanks for your help!

I don't know ANYthing about ART, but I do know that you can drive an ECV right onto the tram from the Mickey & Friends parking structure. You do have to wait a little longer in that line (the same one that you go into if you have a large stroller that you don't want to fold). Isn't it only 60ish bucks to add parking onto an AP for the YEAR? Seems like that would be a better deal and a whole lot less hassle.

The ART accomodates the ECVs. It is about 1.75 miles. Top speed on the ECV is about 5mph. It would take about 25 mins to ride the ECV there.

The ART has worked really well for us. Even the year that we took our bulky double jogging stroller. We have also parked and taken the tram. We didn't like that as much because when it is busy, everyone is pushing to get on the trams and it is extra hard with the stroller.

We will be staying at the Homewood in September. Hope you enjoy your stay!
