I was wondering if anyone would be able to share some information on the photo pass at disneyland. Where do u get one once u get to the park and how do u purchase the c.d while you are there? Any information anyone has on this would be great as i can't seem to find too much about it on disneyland's website.

When you see a cast member with a camera, ask them to take a picture. They will give you a card. You reuse the card for the rest of the day as you see other photographers. You can preview and purchase the photos online, and (I think) at the Kodak store on Main Street.

It is really easy. You can have more than one card. There is a website listed on the back and you can go to the site and view your pictures. You can add frames to them and pick out different sizes. They are expensive but there is often special promotions on the website for free shipping or %off. I didn't spend much time looking around but they offer other products as well.

So is this the only options for having CM's take your picture? Its only DH and I going so if we want any pictures with both of us, we will have to ask a CM to take it. I was thinking about splurging and having one done of us in front of the castle. How much is expensive? Does anyone have a price range? Thanks!

when you ask the CM to take your picture with their camera ask if they can take one with your camera as well. they're pretty obliging. :D

the PhotoCD is the most popular product and gives you unlimited reproduction rights to the images. you can either buy it in the parks for $60 or online for $80 (according to recent reports I have). the key difference is you can enhance them online with special borders, so you can turn 100 pictures into 400 pictures or more.

there are also special magic photos such as holding tinker bell around the castle, having stitch pop out of the ground by TOT, fighting Hook by POTC and brand new options include special photos by nemo and I had heard of another, but I forgot it. i really don't know the Disneyland system as well as I know WDW.

there's also a Disney Visa meet & greet which would go on the photopass and gets you a free 5x7 print too.

but as mention, either a photopass photog or any CM should be more than willing to use your own camera for you. it's basically no pressure sales.

They actually stopped offering the cd for $60 on Monday the 10th. now you can only get it with the package of a CD and 3 5x7s for $80.

This information 'might' be correct if you buy it in the park but if you want til you get home, enter all your card numbers (if you end up forgetting your card or get seperated you can enter multiple card numbers and have all the photos on one online account) you can edit, add borders and autographs and other special effects to every photo on the account. Then purchase the cd for 79.95 which includes the copyright to reprint any photo for personal use.

In the park you can't do the extra borders and stuff, but the Photoshop on the corner by First Aid/Baby Center is where you'd purchase the photos/CD's, if you want to wait and edit/enhance your photos then purchase the CD you would go online to Disneyphotopass.com and register then load your photopass account with the cards holding the pictures...edit til you have all the versions you want then purchase the cd.

Right, that was in the park only, sorry. When we went in to ask about it they told us they were not offering just the CD anymore. He also thought the price online was going up, but he wasn't sure.

If you're just wanting a print or two, it's usually cheaper to just get the prints than the CD. I just spent WAY too much time finding the prices (I swear they hide it - I had to go to HELP to find a link to Photo Pricing). The website is www.disneyphotopass.com. Anyway - 1 5x7 is 12.95, 8x10 is 16.95, 2 4x6 of one photo is 12.95

Okay yeah that's better. All I really wanted was a 1 picture that I can frame and have up in our house. Thanks to everyone for you help! For my question at least. Hope everyone else got what they needed! :D

We returned from our wdw trip on 03-05-08 and logged into our photo pass account. There was an offer for 20% off of any 5x7 or 4x6 prints as long as they were purchased before 03-10-08.

Okay i know with the photo pass that if you want to add borders etc that you have to go on the computer and do it and it has been mentioned that you have to order it from home to get it , so my question is , is if on the last day before we leave to go home we go on the hotel computer and make borders and such can we then purchase it before we leave ? with it having the added pictures with the backgrounds , or do we still have to get it sent to us ?
Thanks

there are no technicalities. enhancements can only be made online. online means through disneyphotopass.com and ordering it through there as well.
