Here's the question: Do you need proof of your ticket to ride the monorail around the resort? (We are staying off-site)

The reason I am asking is: We have 2 sets of 1 day tickets and are planning to use them on a Sun and Tues for MK. The Monday in between we have ADRs at Chef Mickey's, and I would like to ride the monorail from the TTC to the Contemporary. Will it be a problem to get on the monorail, since we will not actually be entering the park that day?

you do not need to use your ticket to get onto the monorail, although you will have to pay for parking. you only need to swipe your ticket to get into the parks.

(omg i just relised this was post number 100[!] for me!!!!!)

First of all, you may have to pay $11.00 to get through the toll booth.

I would suggest that you park at the Contemporary instead of at TTC. Bring your paid parking receipt in to Chef Mickey's with you and you may be able to get the parking fee refunded.

Once you have had your meal, or beforehand if you are very early, you may want to take a monorail trip and end up back at the Contemporary. Also you could stop off at the two other hotels on the monorail to look at the lobbies, etc. And if you are doing this at an uncrowded time of day, you may be able to ride in the cab with the driver (maximum of four people plus the driver allowed in the cab).
