We (my husband and two boys ages 6 & 8) are going to WDW in Feb. 09. I believe that we have the resorts narrowed down to the Pop for the first three days, Disney wonder for the next four days, and returning to the Polynesian for our last four days. We chose the Pop because we are usually value people and most of the reviews seem reasonable. We are looking at the Polynesian because of it's convenience of the tram, as no doubt the kids will be exhausted, and fireworks from the beach! My husband has been speaking to some freinds from work who have him convinced we should go with a theme park view, club level. It seems a bit excessive to me, but would appreciate any feedback. It sounds like club level includes snacks and drinks basically. Most likely we will make any reservations prior to the trip, and I don't think even in college I could drink $200.00 per night. Does it enclude more than I'm aware of? Also, it sounds like the fireworks on the beach may not be as easy as our balcony but it sounds pretty nice. Of course if it is truely a very unique experience, then it's worth considering.

Also, has anyone used the transport from the cruise to the resorts. If so, how was it and what time did you arrive at the resort? I would like to get the most park time we can.

Any feedback people have would be greatly appreciated to help us feel like we are making the best decision for us. Thank you!!

We do Poly CL all the time and yes it is very much worth it to us. We split it between MK view and GV. Honestly both are wonderful stays, MK is obviously the best though. CL has alot of perks....you have 2 sm boys who will love their snacks, food and beverages. They will do ressies for you, and alot of other requests just upon asking. To us it is where we always pick...transportation, location, views, resturants, atmosphere, ect.. We love the fireworks from the beach just as much as we love those from our room.

Hey Cathy, Can I get a website like the previous one for the Pop? That had so much info. about the resort. Does the Pop have one like that?:)

The Polynesian Resort is a much more fertile subject for an in-depth website, like Steve's, than Pop Century -- but you can see some basic information on the MousePlanet page (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=BLQ000), and at the bottom are links to a couple of photo tours.

To make life easier for you and your family...
The Somoa building is the right choice...
1-building runs along the main pool(ask for a pool view)
2-walking distance to GCH(grand cerimonial hall..check-in/restaurants)
3-beach only feet away(great spot for fireworks view)

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Tuvalu (lagoon view)...
was nice, but had to walk around the marina to pool and GCH.

You almost don't need to stay at a "lagoon view" room to
see fireworks from your room! Ask for the third floor
pool-view and as close to beach as they can place you.
You'll see MK and fireworks at 9p.m.

Also, third floor of course, has a balcony, great place in
the morning with a cup of Joe!

Have fun and say "Hi" to the Mouse for us!
