View Full Version : Another Newbie question [Where to Find Specific Characters]
tzuhouse 03-12-2008, 11:08 AM Characters
We love characters. Was wondering if there are certain places to go each day for specific character, or if it's completely random? Special ones that we will stand in line to see are:
Peter Pan-ds 8 is best buds with Peter
Pluto-ds 6 loves Pluto more than anyone
Dwarves-not Snow White-dwarves, particularly Dopey, but he's the only one I've ever met, so would love to meet all 7
Jack Sparrow-do they do the Pirate tutorial at DL the way they do at WDW?
Merlin-They did away with the Sword and the Stone at WDW. Is it still happening at DL?
Thanks in advance.
foolishmortal 03-12-2008, 11:29 AM Merlin still has a show ..at least he did in the fall!
Peter pan is usually on the float in the parade
Jack Sparow is on TSI (pirates on tom saywer island
Pluto is usually at the main street area, along with minnie, mickey, chip dale, goofy. and in toon town
I don't know about snow white's group I really haven't run into them.
See alice and mad hatter in fantasyland.
woody and jesse by BTR.
Princesses are trapped in the Princess fantasy fair.:(
Im sure others can help out with character sightings too.

tzuhouse 03-12-2008, 11:56 AM That would be so sad if he couldn't actually speak with Peter. You'd have to have read the original WDW trip report from 2005 to fully understand it, but it's a major thing.

adriennek 03-12-2008, 11:59 AM Kat did a good job covering your list. But also, FYI, at the end of Main Street there is an information kiosk that includes a board with the major rides and what their approximate wait times are. There has historically been a CM at this kiosk that can help you find characters you might be looking for, too, or general time estimates of when they might be available.

candles71 03-12-2008, 12:05 PM In Sept. We found Cinderella by the stage in CA outside Monster's Inc, and Muppets. Mater and Lightning Mcqueen are by Soarin' , Flik and Atta by Bug's Life. Cruella DeVil by the Main Street Train station. Ariel in her Grotto before you get to the Matterhorn. Didn't see Buzz this time but have usually found him near AstroBlasters. Woody and Jesse in Big Thunder Ranch behind BTMRR. I haven't seen a dwarf since I was a kid. Oh also they were having a villians scream show in the Palace Theatre so we saw Capt Hook, the Sherrif from Robin Hood and a few others (can't remember who) outside between shows. We have seen Snow Whites' Evil Queen in FL. Mad Hatter, Merlin, etc in FL also. Pooh and Tigger and EEyore have their own place outside the exits to Pooh and Splash. Got a great random pic in toon town, my kids were in Goofy's car having their pic taken when Goofy was walking by to get to his house for pics, so he jumped in the car with them, was great. He didn't wait for anyone else. he shook their hands and continued on his way after the pic was taken.
HisKid1 03-12-2008, 01:23 PM I saw Dopey in DCA near the theater where the Crush show thing is. Buzz Lightyear was near the Astro Blasters. Donald was on Main street, as were Chip & Dale, Mickey, and Minnie. Woody was on the paddle boat. The purple bug (never saw that movie, so not sure what her name was) was in Bug's Life in DCA.
kingqueen 3princesses 03-12-2008, 01:29 PM I haven't seen Peter Pan, but I have heard of people seeing him in Fantasyland.
In February, Dopey would change spots with Snow White in DCA outside of the building where the animation studio and Turtle Talk with Crush was. I haven't seen the other dwarves out and about.
You can find Jack Sparrow on the island, but not at all times. We made two trips over because even though the CM told us he was over there the first time we went, he wasn't. The basic philosophy as told to us by the CMs was, a pirate will do what a pirate will do, but when we found Jack he was great with the kids. Just so you know, he crosses the river on the same raft as all the people. If you're lucky, you can ride across with him. I think there's a better chance he's on the island a little earlier in the day.
In February, Merlin was also at the top of my daughter's list. Right after the show we were the first to get a picture and autograph. He maybe only did one or two after ours--he made his way out pretty fast. Just be prepared--he didn't hang around long.
tzuhouse 03-12-2008, 05:48 PM I completely forgot a VIC? (Very important car!)
Can my ds 6 find Herbie, anywhere? It one of the main reasons we go to MGM Studios in Florida.
ssturgeo 03-13-2008, 06:32 AM If you are interested in character breakfasts:
I have always seen Peter Pan at Goofy's Kitchen
Ariel's Grotto has the princesses
Pluto at Paradise Pier (my favorite character breakfast) with lots of interaction and fun with the guests.
If you want more info on the characters at these three breakfasts, just let me know
Pluto can also be found in Toon Town cavorting around. Main St. too sometimes.
Last week Snow White and Dopey were still outside the Animation Building in DCA in front of the backdrop of the cottage.
Mater and Lightening are not across from Soarin' now due to the new Pixar Parade that they will be in.
Saw Buzz daily at different Tomorrowland locations
Mickey Mouse...you can meet him and get a picture at his house in Toon Town
and...the same for Minnie at her house
Malcon10t 03-13-2008, 09:48 AM Goofy's Kitchen usually has Goofy, Max, Pluto (http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q133/Malcon10t/of50332442.jpg), a variety of Princesses (http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q133/Malcon10t/PismoSnow.jpg), Alice and the Mad Hatter, Minnie (http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q133/Malcon10t/Minnieandwills.jpg), and others I don't remember.
lizziemcguire76 03-13-2008, 04:38 PM We have often seen peter pan by the Alice In Wonderland and Mad Tea Party rides in Fantasyland on two different trips we have run into him here.
