Hello all- This is my first post in these forums, as I have only recently discovered the site. I have been perusing Disney websites over the past two weeks in anticipation for my Disney trip in 3 days! I realized it would only be fitting to post a trip report of my own. This first entry is the plans we have made in advance, I will update again when I return from Orlando next week.
Travel dates: Tuesday March 11- Sunday March 16
Travel method: JetBlue direct flight and Dollar rental car
Resort: Yacht Club
Accommodations: two standard rooms
Ages Represented in Group: elementary, pre-teen, teen, adult
Cast of characters:
B- my dad, over 10 trips to WDW
C- my mom, 8 trips to WDW
J- me, 15 yrs old, trip planner/trip report writer, 6 trips to WDW
M- 12 yrs old, 5 trips to WDW
S- 10 yrs old, 4 trips to WDW
Introduction: B has a work conference at the Yacht Club every March, so his and C’s flight and accommodations are automatically paid for by his employer. Generally, M, S and I accompany my parents on the trip every other year, as skipping school for 3 ½ days is becoming tougher and tougher as we get older. This year’s trip was an unusually last minute decision; I found out we were going 2 weeks ago. I have always been the trip planner since I was about 12, I would plan everything out and my parents would book the reservations. I love getting into the Disney experience as soon and as often as possible!
Tickets: The conference provides tickets for two days. For the other two days, I purchased two day park hoppers for all of us.
Dining: I will detail dining for each day in the next section, but because the work conference provides some meals, we did not sign up for the DDP.
