We will be at WDW the 5th of April , and by the looks of things it is not much warmer there than here. I have a grandson we will be bringing does anyone know what to expect weather wise the first week of April? I am starting to get clothes together now and don't know what to pack? I know your not able to predict the weather but any advice will help.So far it looks as though we need a moving van just for 9 days.

Last year first week in April I never put on long pants until it was time for the flight home (I don't fly in shorts). This included being in the MK until Midnight - and I was NOT debating "do I buy a sweatshirt here?" I live in the New Orleans area, so "my blood is thin" and I now get cold fairly quickly, so for me to not even contemplate adding a sweatshirt at midnight, it was probably quite warm for people from cooler climates. But I think it was a bit early for those temperatures last year. So it's possible, but not always the case.

For your trip, I'd tentatively plan on generally wearing shorts, but with a couple outfits of long pants, and a sweatshirt or two to add if you need to layer. As the date gets closer, you can decide if you need to add more long pants, or drop it down to just one.

Where are you from? That plays a MAJOR impact in how cold you are. When I lived in Oregon and visited in January one year, I was fine in jeans and a sweatshirt, and the cast members were in heavy coats and gloves/hats. (Now I'd be with them in the heavy coats and gloves for those temps!)

We were there in April last year. We are used to it COLD and never needed to take our shorts off, even though we had some days which were apparently comparatively cold. We also had weather I consider tropical. However, this said, I did pack sweatshirts and we did use them in the day twice and a few times at night. I am guessing a couple of pairs of long trousers and a couple of sweatshirts/jumpers just in case would be more than enough of an insurance policy.

No matter how warm the weather may look, bring safety clothing items such as jeans and jackets. You never know what the weather may be like on any day. Be safe!
