River Belle

So I've really enjoyed reading the "Discussion Board Top 3!" thread, but I'm curious about just one thing...
Several posters mention the River Belle Terrace on their top 3 "food spots" list, but many say "Pre-Remodel."
The terrace is one of my very favorite spots to relax in the park, and I have to say that I'm really impressed with the new menu (and really relieved that the breakfast menu didn't change!). I was worried about the new lunch/dinner options since we had some favorites on the old menu, but we've eaten there several times since the remodel and have never been disappointed. (LOVE the prime rib salad!) And since we always eat outside (facing the Rivers of America), it's still one of my favorite places to dine.
So, I'm just curious about the rest of you...are you happy with the remodel? Or disappointed?

I LOVE the Riverbelle Terrace! Haven't been since the remodel. Photos, anyone?
I, too, would like to hear about it, post remodel!

my brother loved the ribs too. I am more of a salad person so I am looking forward to checking it out the next time we go.

as far as the remodel of the building. I don't think it did anything for flow. The lines are still too long for me as they only have two registers for checkout. I like the layout of Rancho del Zocholo much better.

We thought it looked pretty nice inside, but we've only eaten there for breakfast post and pre-remodel. We missed the real plates/silverware. Oh and we miss seeing the pancakes made!
But we second being happy they didn't change the breakfast menu..I think we will still try to give it a chance on the new lunch/dinner menu, too bad we didn't get to experience the old one, it sounds really good

i had both dinner and breakfast there in early february and while i thought the remodel was asthetically pleasing (it has really lightened the place up), the flow is still terrible. It took about half an hour to get my breakfast from a queue position just inside the door, which is the same as I recall it taking when you used to switchback inside the queuing system indoors. there has to be a more efficient way to do this... meal wise, breakfast was as yummy as always, and i had the vegetarian 'sloppy joe' sandwich for dinner which was also pretty yummy albeit expensive.

We didn't eat there on our trip last month because it was too cold for a salad or sandwhich. I am really disappointed in DLs menu choices. It seems to me that a huge percentage of their main dishes are either sandwiches or salads. Most of the places offer something that isn't but not Riverbelle. I am very disappointed in that. I liked eating there because I love how it looks and they had good food. I wanted to eat there in Feb. but I knew my boys wouldn't go for it. I think DH and I will try it when we go in May. It will probably be good but I just wish there were more options all throughout DL.

You can still see them cooking pancakes, but I really miss the real plates. Bring back those, please. It helps to make it feel like a real meal in such a nice setting. and I would think real plates would be more "green" because they aren't plastic/petro based and are not just stuffed into a landfill somewhere.
