Hello to all. My name is Jay and I am from Sacramento, still currently living here. I really, really want to take me wife and daughter to disneyland soon as I am going to be in la later this month however I really really want to either but a southern california annual pass, or somehow have access to purchasing two 2fer tickets. Please share any information with me on how I can obtain these. Im just a family man who wants to treat his family to an unforgettable disney trip. If you live in the anaheim area and could purchase it for us when we get there that would great and we would be grateful. Thank You Very Much!!!!!:D

Hi Travelingman
I am not an expert in these matters, but live very close to you in Northern California. It is my understanding that identification to prove your Southern California residency is necessary when either purchasing these tickets or using them. It would be awful if someone bought them for you and when you presented them at the front gate you were unable to use them...
We are now annual passholders, but prior to that we always purchased our tickets from AAA so that we would get the free parking add-on. I have heard that Costco has some good offers that would be worth checking out.

I figured that when you bought the southern cali passes or tickets that you would have to proove residency. However does anyone know if you have to show an los angeles ID when entering the park with a souther cali ticket or if they print your name on it ???

You prove nothing when you purchase the tickets. The store, I think Von's, is happy to take your money and get their cut. The verification is when you redeem them at the ticket booth or at the gate.

And to upgrade to a So Cal Pass.

the first time we went we bought the so-cal city passes at costco in Roseville. They are also for Universal Studios. Now we have Deluxe Annual Passes that we bought last april. went again in September and then we are going again this april before they expire. (very cost effective this way, just can't go on Sat. which is FINE by me)
And yes they do ID you at the gate. In fact my dad used to buy Government rate tickets for everywhere and DL is the only place he had to show his Government ID card with the tickets.

If you are looking for a legal way to get discounted tickets, check your Human Resources department at work, or your local credit union. My credit union offers 3 day tickets $15 lower than the online price.

Unless you want to risk showing your kids embaressment when you arrive at the gate and don't have So Cal ID, I wouldn't try to cheat that way.
