I'm wondering if AK will be open for 3 hours during Evening EMH....does anyone know? I'll be there 3/12 and the park closes at 8pm.... Thanks!

Yes, if it's got evening extra magic hours, and the park closes at 8, then it will be open until 11 for those staying onsite. Be aware, though, that not all attractions are open after 8, particularly those that involve live animals.

This is from the WDW site:
Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park
Evenings:
DINOSAUR, Expedition Everest, Festival of the Lion King, It's Tough to be a Bug!®, Kali River Rapids, Primeval Whirl®, TriceraTop Spin

Doesn't seem like three hours worth of stuff to do

Unless all the lines are 90 minutes long!

Actually, I'm hoping that DH & I can do some of these rides ourselves that night while the kiddies hang out with the grandparents. :) But I suspect that the lines will be long..........last year we tried to get on Space Mountain during EMH and all night long it was a 90 min wait!!! Ugh........

Expedition Everest is SO worth doing at night. We were there in early December and did it over & over using the single pass line!

AK at night is a great place to be for an evening without the kids. The lighting is subdued and makes it a whole different park at night. You'll enjoy it for sure. I think you could easily fill 3 hours with a couple rides on EE (Which is excellent at night) a ride on Dino, a Festival of the Lion King show, may ITTAB and a nice dinner at the Yak and Yeti! The rest of the time I would just walk around and enjoy the park!

When we went to AK for EMH they kept the boneyard open and the kiddos spent a long time in there. They had it virtually to themselves, as everyone else was probably in line for Everest. It was a nice change of pace, we usually don't spend alot of time in there, it's just too hot mid afternoon to climb on stuff and dig.

We are going to EMH evening hours in May just to go on EE at night. It is so worth it.
