Hiya,

I am visiting in June Mon - Fri and on some nights there will be two Fantasmic showings offered. Do you find that it is better to go to the first or second showing? Or is there no difference? (By the way, it will be two adults only - so no bedtimes to worry about.)

Also, Do you notice lines for rides being less crowded when Fantasmic is showing? Is it worth it to hop to the park to ride Tower or RRC during the show time?

Thanks!!!!!!

The show will be the same--but the second show will typically be quite a bit less crowded.

And the lines should be less crowded during the first Fantasmic! - but you have to remember that other people will have the same brilliant idea that you do - and the attractions they're going to want to be on will be the same as what you'll want to do. (But more people will be at the show, I'd think!)

I'd go for the second, cause it would be darker.

I don't believe they even start the show until it's totally dark. If memory serves, that means shows at 9pm and 10:30pm during the summer.

We typically go to 2nd showing. Last June we got there 20 min. before showtime and had a good seat. During the 1st showing I think we were one of 3 families watching Muppets, and Great movie ride was a walk on. RRC and ToT still had long lines though.

Oh yeah, well my bad :p I haven't been since Christmas 2006 so I forgot that little detail

Thanks guys! I think we'll plan to hit up the second show.

I have never really "seen" Fantasmic because last time we went 30 min early and we were in standing room only. Which was more like "too bad if you are shorter than the people in front of you" room only. If only I had all you to warn me about that back then!!!

I hope you enjoy it!

The bits and pieces I saw looked good, and we got a clear shot of the finale with the big boat because a bunch of people left early (which seemed odd to me, since I like staying for entire shows and ballgames, etc.) I'm excited to be able to just sit and watch the whole thing.

I don't see how people can leave early and miss that kind of thing!

I'd say sitting is the best way to watch it :p Especially when everyone does the wave when your waiting for it to start. Passes the time.. :p Make sure to get comfortable when it starts because the last thing you want is to get sore halfway through (my mom did and she said it took some of the enjoyment out of it).

Ahhh - I'd forgotten about the wave in that theater! I don't know if Disney employees start it or if it's just inevitable with a crowd of that size. But it cracks me up how into it everyone is at first, and then how the excitement dies down long before the actual wave dies down. Very fun crowd dynamics!
