I want to remember this so I can try one when we're there in March! :) Also, any idea the cost? Thanks!

Just over the bridge into adventure land, on your right hand side(coming from Main Street). Can't miss it!

They also added them to the counter service restaurant in the Polynesian resort.

Well, despite the huge legion of fans of the Dole Whip, I was unimpressed when I had mine. I still very much prefer the citrus swirl: vanilla soft-serve ice cream swirled with frozen OJ. It's sold at a stand just behind the Magic Carpet ride. It's sooooooooo good, especially on a hot day; the buttery vanilla ice cream mixes with the OJ like a dreamcicle! So good. Try both and report back, yes?

From the freshly-updated MousePlanet Menu list:

Sunshine Tree Terrace (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=BCA402)

Aloha Isle (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=BCA403)

Enjoy!

I like your thinking! :) If I have time and the appetite I will try to sample both and let you know.

I was ALWAYS firmly in the DW camp. Last trip, I finally tried a CS, and I must say, I liked it JUST as much as the Dole Whip. I'll have to make sure to have 2 separate snackage days at MK so I can enjoy both on subsequent trips. Thanks....MORE calories that are on my MUST DO list!!! :p

What IS a Dole Whip? I've heard so much about them but I don't know what they are.

It's Dole pineapple soft serve in Dole pineapple juice. A float. Good stuff. There is sort of a battle between the "Dole" people and the "Orange Cream" people. I like both.

Like I said somewhere else - American English doesn't always correspond to British English!

A float is soft serve (usually) ice cream in a glass, with coke, root beer, or similar added - except in the case of a Dole Whip Float which is Dole Whip (soft serve-pineapple flavored) in pineapple juice.

It's really refreshing on a warm day

Now wait a minute! Upon hearing the definition of a Dole Whip Float, I may have to try that; or, if they can blend vanilla with the pineapple dole whip soft serve, it might make it more like the citrus swirl. I'll definitely try that next time around.

just to clear it up.. there's the dole whip and the dole whip float. two different items. WDW also offers multiple flavors for it.

and it's available either at aloha isle in adventureland or captain cook's at the poly. i do not believe it's available next to the tiki room, which would be the case at disneyland as the tiki room is sponsored by dole there.

they are also available at various locations throughout the US, typically non-chain ice cream shops. there's a misconception that they're only available at disney parks and in hawaii.

i did a horrible job at modeling it, but this is a dole whip float from disneyland. cherries and umbrellas not included at WDW sad to say

My bad! No, you don't have to get the float--but I always do! You better like pineapple if you do though--because if you get the pineapple soft serve IN pineapple juice...YOWSA! I suggest a bottle of water to wash it down too.

I've never actually tried the vanilla or vanilla/pineapple swirl. I have to go all out with the pineapple.

I personally prefer the Citrus Swirl myself!

Mmmmmm . . . Dole Whips . . .

BUT! Now that I've heard all this talk about citrus swirls, I'm gonna have to try that when we are there. As Rachael would say, "YUM-O!" I heard there was a strawberry swirl offered somewhere. Does anyone know about that?

Does anyone ever order vanilla soft serve in your dole whip float like me? I can't do the pineapple on pineapple too tangy

but I really wanna try the citrus swirl now.. maybe it'll be added to my must haves list

As a matter of fact, I had a Dole Whip Float this past week and got a twist of vanilla and pineapple......IMO it was just right! (I was concerned about the pineapple on pineapple being too tart) I loved this combo and can't wait to get another one next time we go to WDW!
