Hello,
We are currently debating on when to take our trip to the World and are deciding between the week of 3/24 or the 2nd week in June. We did June last year and yes it was crowded. Is it about the same crowds for spring break, better, or worse? If it is the same then I may push it back to June to give me more time for the ADR's. Thanks!

I think the crowds at spring break are terrible. I went with my family about three years ago. Also the rates are higher durig holiday time. I have never went in june but it seems disney is always crowded

I would do June as well. You would likely have a tough time getting ADRs you wanted for just a month away - and might even have troubles getting a room at the resort of your choice!

Easter is 3/23, early this year, and though we don't have that week as a major school vacation here in Mass., lots of places do, so Easter week can be crowded.
The resort prices are at a higher level and drop on 3/30. The buffet and fixed priced dining locations are on "seasonal pricing" from 3/16 to 3/29, which translates to $3 to $5 more per person over the normal rate.
June will be hot, and it will rain more than in March, but the crowds will definitely be lower in early June. I believe Florida schools are already out by then, but lots around the country start summer break mid June. May would be even better.

I vote June as well. The Spring Break crowds are terrible. Also, there are a lot of college kids there. You can guess to where that leads.
We actually went through this same question the last two years. When the kids were in preschool and kindergarden we chose mid April which was very nice as that year Easter was in late March. But now that the kids are in school, we don't want them to miss any so we always look at spring break or early June. We have gone with early June both times, it is hotter and more rain but probably less busy and a little bit cheaper.

My vote is for June if you can do it. We're actually going March 11th - 15th and even then I'm concerned about how crowded its going to be. We were there a bit later in March last year and there were TONS of Spring Breakers (teens/college) and lots of large groups of young children. I wouldn't say that it ruined our experience in any way but it was definately busy.
Also, keep in mind that if you're looking to find reasonable airfare at this point for March it will be hard to find. My guess just from looking at a few carriers lately you will be paying about $400 roundtrip for each person. You should still have time to get better fares for June (especially if you can do days other than Sat/Sun)
Have fun whenever you go! :)

I'll be there from April 2-11th. I'm hoping it's not crowded!

I vote for June as well, we went later in June our first year and it was hot but the rain wasn't a bother--it was just a quick afternoon shower type deal. Almost refreshing. Have a great time, I am wildly jealous!!

I have not been during Spring Break, but our first trip to WDW was June 12-19 in 2006. The crowds were pretty big, but manageable. While we were there, it only rained three times: the first two days we were there thanks to Tropical Storm Alberto, and then it rained one other day for about 1 hour. That was it. Have a good time no matter which date you choose. :)

I don't personally know what WDW is like over spring break, but we made the mistake of going to DLR over spring break once and that was insane! Most of the rides were averaging 90 minute waits and often fastpasses were gone very early in the day.
