If I bought park hoppers for 7 days seperate from my hotel are they good for ANY 7 days? Or when I check in do they start that 1st day..am I making sense here? I have a room ressie made through special reservations and they said just get the hoppers online so I did but I see there are no dates on them and I just got nervous that they will be no good:confused:

I'm pretty sure the first of the 7 days would start when you use them for the first time at a park and they would be valid for the next 6 days.
I'm not sure when any unused days would expire- I **think** it's 6 months from the start date.
But if you have the no-expiration date option they never expire.

Someone can correct me if I'm mistaken, but a quick check of the WDW website seems to back me up on this:
The park hopper tickets expire 14 days after the first use (the first time you step through a turnstile). Which seven days you use the tickets is entirely up to you. For example, if you arrive at WDW on July 1st and don't go to a park until July 3rd, the tickets would expire on the 16th. You can get the non-expiration option on tickets (about $90) where the tickets would never expire.

OhthatJeff has it!
So if you bought 7 day park hoppers and were at WDW for 10 days - ANY 7 of the days you could enter the parks. So you don't have to take 'days off' at the end of your trip, you can take them in the middle.

Normal Disney tickets don't have dates on them. Because you can use them anytime you want to. I think you are nervous because you think the tickets will start for seven days as soon as you check into your resort. They won't. But they will expire 14 days after you first USE the ticket to go through a park turnstile.
Here's an example. You check in on the 1st. You check out on the 10th. You go to a park on the 2nd so that's one day off your ticket. Your 14 days start then (so the ticket expires on the 15th, not the 14th). You decide to not go to a park on the 3rd. That's fine. You still have 6 days left on your ticket. You just have to use those six days by the 15th of that month. You can even check out on the 10th and check into another resort or offsite place or whatever and still be able to use your ticket until the 15th.
Now, Disney USED to have what was called a length of stay pass. For that, it started from the minute you checked in and went until midnight of the day you checked out. That is not offered anymore.

This is a "canned" response with the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.
Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privledges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M enries remain valid until used.
You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.
You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, PI, TL, WWS). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, DQ in the afternoon, and club hopping at PI in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)
If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.
If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.
Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

I think I know what your saying. I have also booked my hotel room seperate. I think the tickets don't start until you use them for the first time and expire 14 days from day of first use. I guess you could always ask the people you bought the tickets from just to make sure. Have a great trip!

That's how I understand it too. 14 days from the first use.
