So Cal Free Child Admission

Just a note -

Universal Studios is offering a free child's admission for every adult admission this summer for So Cal residents.

A current radio ad is also promoting six new attractions at Universal. Well, you have to count shows and recasts to be six, but on the surface they are trying to be competitive in the market.

It is interesting that Universal is offering pretty much the same deal that Disney just announced today for DCA.

And Universal's had that offer available for a while now...at least for a few months. There's at least one billboard as you drive south on the 5 freeway toward Disneyland that's been advertising that offer. And, all around the perimeter of DL I see Universal ads (a bus here, an advertising banner/truck there (I don't know what those are called...moving billboards?!)...and Universal is also offering free transportation from Anaheim to Universal if you pre-purchase an admission ticket...there's some number you're supposed to call to buy the ticket.

It sounds like DCA is copying their admission ways to boost sagging attendance.
