Does anyone have any advice on which place is better for a family with 3 small kids? Ages 4, 6, 8. We like the looks of both, and there's about a $500 difference in the cost of our trip! Is the polynesian worth the extra cash?

We too are a family of 5 and always stay at the Poly. For us it is very much worth the price difference and choose it above the others. But that is our preferance. We love the pools, atmosphere, resturants, huge rooms and location. I think since your kids are on the young side it would be a perfect fit for you. You have the monorail right there, wonderful volcano pool and slide, water parades in the evenings, fireworks from the grounds and some rooms, and the beach area. You can't go wrong with either resort as they're both beautiful, but we love the convience of Poly.

Are you looking at a Jr. Suite at WL or a regular room? The size of the standard room and convenience of the Poly makes it a good choice if you have the money. I unfortunately have not stayed there but have had family stay there when mom goes down with them and the extra space of the standard room at the poly makes it worth the price for them.

I think you'd have to be in a suite at WL which might make it as expensive as the Poly. The standard rooms at WL only sleep 4. They don't have the day beds that some of the other deluxes do, including the Poly. We have stayed at WL and just loved it; haven't ever stayed at the Poly but would sure like to!!!

We've stayed in one of the bunk bed rooms with our three kiddos and it was comfy. We prefer the Poly though, don't know the sq. ft. but The room seemed more spacious. and no fighting over who gets top bunk!

I have 3 kids ( 13, 8 and 4) and have stayed at both WL and Poly. We are going this summer (Aug.) and are staying at the Poly. The rooms at WL are nice, but much more cramped. Plus, you can't beat the convenience of the monorail for getting to the MK and Epcot. The MK parking lot is murder! You will also have a better view of the 7 Seas Lagoon as well.
You will be happy you stayed at the Poly. I liked WL , but it was cramped. We had tons of room at our room at the Poly. Have fun!
