Hi everyone, I need help choosing which resort to add to a land and sea package we are considering for 2009 & have narrowed it down to either Beach Club or Polynesian. Epcot is our favorite park and we really like the idea of being so close but we went to Ohana in December and really liked the atmosphere at the Poly. I will be traveling with my 22 year old daughter and 18 year old son, if that helps. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has stayed at both as to which rooms are best at each resort and which resort you prefer. I would appreciate any help you can give me:)

The Beach Club is our very favorite hotel - actually we have stayed in the Villas. You can walk to Epcot and Disney Studios (or boat). Stormalong Bay is the best pool.

If Epcot is where you spend the bulk of your time and as you are all pretty much adults, then you'd probably prefer the environment on that side of the World more. I admit I've never stayed there but I'd love to one day when my kids are a little older; they'd enjoy the pool there I'm sure.

That said, if you were to stay at another resort outside of the Epcot area hotels, then I'd suggest the Poly. The rooms are larger and have recently been refurbed. You can walk from your longhouse at the Poly to the direct monorail at the TTC and be there in a quick shot. (It also has a monorail to the MK from its lobby). The pool is nice and watching the MK fireworks from your room or the beach is very convenient and beautiful. I've probably stayed at the Poly over 12 times since 1972 (last time was July 2007) and it is a WDW classic.

They are both among the best so its a great dilemma to have.

You didn't mention what time of year you're going, if it's going to be hot I'd choose the Beach Club just for Storm Along Bay.

Even though you don't have any little kids, I (as an adult) find that pool to be so much fun that it's worth the stay there.

If you're going in a cooler month I'd choose the Poly just for the monorail access.

LOVE The Beach Club....Poly we visited and it is very tropical but the Beach has so much to do around it within walking or boat distance...:cool:

Another vote for Beach Club. It is not only a beautiful resort, but having Epcot next door is great.

As close to the elevator as possible. Some of the distant rooms can be quite a trek.
