It looks like we may be going to Disney World in September (haven't booked anything yet). I had really been wanting to go when they were having the Pirate and Princess Party but it looks like that won't happen. I have two daughters (6 and 8) who are really into the princesses. Will they enjoy the Halloween party as much? Should we plan for another time when the Pirate and Princess party will be? Thanks for any input!

we just went to the Pirate and Princess Party on 2/14 and loved it. just me and the wife and it was her favorite part of the entire trip. The special parade if full of unique floats and a "real" tinkerbell (appearantly the only life-sized tink in a parade). the story and fireworks show were incredible - images projected on the sides of the castle, fireworks launching off the castle itself, and a the story was real cool. they do a little treasure hunt as well which is very much like a trick or treat event. as a bonus almost everything was open for the ticketed/wristedbanded guests for the 5 hours the event ran. it was worth every penny and we would do it again without a second thought...

Both parties are great! I think your kids would enjoy either one. There are plenty of princesses at the Halloween party, even though that isn't the theme. I personally like the Pirate and Princess party better, because I like the theme better (I'm not really into spooky stuff), and because they give out just chocolate, which is the only candy I eat anyway! And the fireworks show is better. But I would say, I like the Halloween parade better. However, if your kids are really into princesses, the pirate and princess parade does feature all the princesses and their princes, while the Halloween parade does not.
