Hey everyone!
I have a question - a while back I very vaguely remember reading something about no more sitting to watch fireworks in front of the castle...is that true? Or do they still allow it? If they DON'T allow it...do they have a wheelchair viewing area?
Thanks so much!

They do allow sitting right in front of the castle, but it's not always the best view. I think your best bet is to stake out a bench on the hub facing the castle rather than being right up front (it's a better view). That way you can have a wheelchair parked next to or in front of the bench without blocking anyone, and still getting a great view.

The area that previously had been sitting was no longer used. Many who use wheelchairs recommend the area near IASW. If the person can stand for a short period comfortably, you can seat the wheelchair near the edge in front of the castle, then just stand for the fireworks itself.

Oh wow! So they aren't letting you sit anymore! Bummer! It's good to know ahead of time though! Yeah...I'd be ok standing for a while but I'd need it there while waiting...guess the nice thing would be one of the little ones could stand on it (while holding on to one of us) and be about as tall as an adult. Thank you!

Last time I saw the fireworks they asked us to stand about 10-15 minutes before the show. During that time, everyone smushed closer together, so it was a strategy to fit more people into the space.

Thank you! Here is what I do. My kids and I stake out early in the street, directly in front of the castle. I have the ECV. We all sit around there til they come around an dmake everyone stand (about 20 mins prior to the start.) They always look at me and say something like "You can sit..." When the fireworks start, I stand, simply because it is easier to see. When it is done, ECV is right there. But you will probably have to wait a while to drive off, as it is very crowded.
