We had to change the dates of our next visit. We were going to go April 7-11but that has now been changed to February 25-29.

For some reason I am really nervous now, I feel like there is not time to plan! We were able to get reservations alright, although not at the Disneyland Hotel (so we are staying at the Paradise Pier). The only think hanging is I need to contact the dog-sitter.

My husband said if it turns out he can get the time off in April, we will go then still, but he wanted to go when he KNEW he would be able to, so that is why he moved it up. Still, part of me is sad we might not be going in April. Is that silly? I mean it really is, I have a friend who lives down there, the boys and I can go visit her then, and we can take all the kids without our husbands, I suppose.

Anyway I feel like I will forget something planning a trip so soon! Have you forgotten anything when you left with little notice?

Well what I would do is make the best of it and if you can swing two trips to DL, then go for it. As far as forgetting anything, there are stores around the area if you absolutely need something.

First thing to do, make a list. Add to that list as you go through. Most of all, just have FUN!

Oh - I am a big planner and I can see how this seems short notice but you will be fine and it will still be a great trip. Plus you may get a second one in the bargain - lucky you.

My DH has the same issue of not being sure he will be able to get the time off when we plan to go in May. As a result, we have decided to drive to DL as opposed to fly, like we usually do, so we can have more flexibility with dates. I have also booked our hotel room for about 7 nights, when we only really need 3 so we can shift things as necessary. My worst-case scenario is that he decides we cannot go in May at all and we have to shift the trip to September - 4 additional months of waiting - oh my!
