Our 50th wedding anniversary is coming up this year.
My husband and I have been going to Disneyland since it opened. He use to take me to Disneyland for dates in high school and college. I married him, he was my high school sweetheart, what a great 50 years it has been. :) Does any one know how we can get into Club 33 for a dinner celeabration?
Our names are on the list for new members, but it won't happen untill we until we are 80 years old. Just don't know if we will be physiclly fit to go to Mickey's house at that age.

MarilynI would suggest asking people where you work, human resources, friends, friends of friends, etc... Even at 80, you will be physically fit for a celebration at Mickey's!!!!

Thanks for the information, but we have been retired for 10 years and have moved to Northern California. Also have asked every body we can think of to make this 50th anniversary dinner happen. Some of our friends, and our children are on the same list we are waiting and waiting to join. We can only hope somebody will help us.

MarilynIf you have moved, you may want to double check you are still on the list. If you got the letter last May and responded, you should be ok. If you didn't, you are off the list.

If you live in the Silicon valley area, keep asking, you may find someone. I know several companies there have it available to their upper management.

We live in Redding, many miles from Silicon Valley.
By any chance are you in upper management at one of the big companies that have a membership at Club 33?
If so can you help us make this 50th year wedding anniversay special. :)

MarilynI am hoping this will not come off as rude, as it is not intended that way. First, I do know companies who have memberships, but I do not know management there. Most companies have a policy that their management cannot make reservations unless the management person personally attends.

If I had my membership, I would not be willing to risk it for someone I didn't know. I don't know of anyone who would. Should you not show for a reservation, the member is charged $60 or so per person. Should you do something inappropriate, the member could lose their membership. After people have been burned, few are willing to risk it anymore.

Also, be forewarned about scammers. There are those out there who will offer to make reservations for people in exchange for $$. Imagine paying the person, only to show up at the door, and you find out then, you don't have a ressie. (Yes, it happens.)

Yep.

Our family has a VERY good family friend whose law firm has a membership. VERY good. Several years ago they told us "Anytime you want to go, just let us know!" I never did take them up on the offer because the only times I had occasions to go, we went through other connections.

Finally we had a reason to call and ask, but they had to very regretfully decline. Another partner's children had badly abused another privilege of the firm so they strongly tightened the restrictions on using all of the firm's perks, including C33.

I didn't quote everything you said, M10t, but you already know I agree with you - companies won't risk sharing their perks with people they know well, it's very reasonable that they won't take a chance on someone they've never met. That's why C33 is so desirable - exclusivity and standards of behavior. If it were as easy as asking on a message board, the exclusivity would be gone and members can't afford to risk their memberships with the penalties in place to insure the behavior standards.

It's too bad that some others may have embarrassed their sponsoring hosts and a shame that a place as special as Club 33 can be spoiled by just a few bad apples. I thought the exclusiveness of Club 33 would be the most romantic place in Disneyland to celebrate our anniversary. We have tried the Blue Bayou Restaurant more than once, it is just to crowded and noisy. Someone out there must want to give us a chance.

Someone out there must want to give us a chance.Since you have gotten to know the people here on MousePad, I am sure one of the Club 33 holders will decide to give you a ressie. (Actually, I don't think any of them read this folder just for this reason.)

If we see two cute puppies at
Disneyland , I will be sure to introduce myself.
50 years of being together with the same person, just does not happen much any more. Best part we still love going to Disneyland on our romantic dates, just like in high school and college. We are still kids at heart! If you see a gray hair couple holding hands and having a great time it will be us. We will still go to Disneyland for our anniversary even if we don't have the romantic dinner at Club 33.
