This is open and is alot of fun. You have to laugh at the jokes to fill the laugh canitsters they use for power. Very cute. Some of the jokes come from audience members, and some of the audience members are the joke.
Toy Story Arcade - in DHS - when does this open?
I am not sure on this one, I think it is still pretty early in the planning.
Nemo Submarine in MK - is this true, when does it open?
False. At the old sub ride there is now a play area for little kids called Poohs Playful Spot.
Anything else>???
Hope that helps.
Drince88 02-12-2008, 11:24 AM Laugh Floor is open, and has been for about a year - there's been a number of threads discussing it. My opinon - it's cute, the technology is interesting, but it's aimed at about a 3rd grade humor level.
Not sure when Toy story is opening in the Studios
There are no Nemo submarines at WDW. The former submarine lagoon is filled in with dirt. There IS a new Nemo ride at Epcot, but it's not submarines, it's clammobiles (kind of like doombuggies). There's also a new Nemo SHOW at AK - that is a really nice musical.
How far back are you considering if it's new or not?

Summer 2008 is what the Disney website says. Nothing clearer than this! Sounds good though.
Drince88 02-12-2008, 02:21 PM Hmmm Summer 2008. I figured it was close since they started work in Fall 06. I always like how they really hedge their bets with their forecast dates, though - Summer could be anywhere from May (Florida schools are out in May) until September or October!
WDW heart 02-12-2008, 02:34 PM I thought Laugh Floor was very cute but as Drince said, definitely a kid's attraction. I also think if you haven't seen Monsters Inc you may not appreciate it as much. I don't know how it is normally but we went a few weeks ago and it never had a line.

Monster Club -- We've seen it. Kinda the same reaction as above. I think whoever plays the monsters does have to be pretty talented improv-wise to handle the differing audiences.
Nemo Submarines -- The Nemo SUBMARINES are in DLR on the West Coast. I think it's kinda getting mixed reviews now. Very highly anticipated, but perhaps doesn't live up to the hype.
Walt Disney World's Nemo ride in Epcot is cute. We've ridden it both times we've been to the World since it opened (so we thought it was good enough to ride again), but it's not the kind of ride where you run around again as soon as you get off the first time.
Other things that are relatively new, depending on when your last trip to the World was -- Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom--TOP NOTCH !!! and Lights, Motors, Action stunt show in the Studios--very entertaining. :D
DoodleMushyBoo 02-14-2008, 07:44 AM i believe the sub ride is at Disney Land, right? . . .i had heard that they may do that b/c they don't have th eliving seas ride like we do! :P
bradk 02-14-2008, 05:19 PM yes, as mentioned several times over, the nemo subs are at disneyland.
pooh's playground (which was billed as being temporary although we know how that goes), is actually over just a small portion of the 20K stomping grounds. ariel's grotto is also over a part of it. the bulk of the old 20K ride is actually just hidden from view with trees. there's a strong rumored long term *major* attraction coming to that area. but that's years away (that's how big the area is). if you go to google earth (maybe) or find other satellite maps, you can locate some that show just how barren and large that area is.
TSM's date really isn't conspicuous. this is how Disney treats all opening dates. First you get a year, then season, then month, then day. it drills down just like that. and that's still not a perfect guarantee since Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor even had a specific opening date when they had to postpone it for months.
anyway, it's far beyond the planning stages. the actual initial opening date was 'spring 2008' but they had some problems with the technology (and apparently mr. potatohead is still causing a lot of headaches). June seems to be thrown around a lot but I'm being overly optimistic in that I'd expect soft openings in May if not before. they're 'simultaneously' building one in DCA and that one's already famously been videotaped while they were testing the vehicles some time ago (that is, by a guest from the outside of the attraction - search youtube for that one).

We went for the first time in January and all enjoyed it, ages 20, 25,26,54,54.
I think it can vary by the audience members and how the monsters pick on someone or find humor with the audience responses. We enjoyed it more than Crush, which we found well done, but geared to small children. Our MI show was also funny to adults, maybe even more so than small children. It helped that my son and I got put on the screen and made a joke about. (Showed me with the caption, "needs a hug", then showed my son, then showed me and went back and forth til he gave me a hug.) Also, they choose the joke submitted by my DD's BF in the show. I wouldn't see it every visit, but we were surprised by how much we laughed and enjoyed it.
