View Full Version : Gay Days Crowds
We are looking at June for our 2008 trip and I was trying to avoid Gay Days because I have heard attendance those days is crazy. However, if I wait for the next week, that puts us farther into June and the summer (hot & busy) season. Since the unofficial event goes to a specific park each day, can anyone give me an idea if there is an increased in attendance at the other parks as well during the event or is the crowd limited to the designated park for that day.

I thought Gay Days was the last week of May? We arrive June 2nd this past Summer and it was the last day. There's a website for it, just can't remember the URL.

Not sure what their normal schedule is and we were there the week of the 4th last year as well. However, when I checked on their website this year's event goes to through the 9th.

I've been there during Gay Days, and have gone to MK on designated days and avoided the designated parks on others. MK is noticeably more crowded on Gay Day and night. I didn't notice much of a crowd increase at the off-parks.
I don't think there will be much difference in the FL weather from the first week in June to the second, but that's just my guess.

Have been on vacation on 2 occasions which coincided with gay days. Yes Magic Kingdom was busy - but not toooo busy, crowd level was manageable. The only day that made quite a difference to us was at Universal Studios, there were 100s of them. Impacted wait times for rides that day.
But on the whole, it did not stop us booking June again.:D
