Ahoy maities, welcom aboard this fabulous journey into our trip to Disneyland!

As soon as we got over the grapevine, the temperature changed from the cool 60's to 82 degrees in downtown Hollywood...not that I am complaining by any means, the sunshine was quite welcome...valley rain has left all of us lacking much needed vitamin D...so welcome LA smog and warm sunshine rays!

I HATE name droppers...but..........
Before I share with you all about our fabulous trip, we made a pit stop in Hollywood. My brother is working for a very famous recording studio...we stopped in to meet Randy Jackson...yes THE Randy Jackson...however he was not there and we, I mean I haha could not wait to get our paws into Disneyland....(Disneyland waits for noone, not Randy, not Paula....maybe Matthew Mconaghey....and that is a BIG maybe...if he were there for a photo shoot with his shirt off...haha just kidding!) As we are touring around the lot, we see the Pussycat Dolls walking in the studio to meet with Akon. And up pulls 4 Cadillac escalades, one back door opens up and the Game (rapper) gets out and about 5 HUGE body guards walk him past us...I am not greatly impressed, I mean Jeez...I save lives for a living what does he do so special? haha, he pulls out a HUGE wad of money and gives it to the body guard guys! For an instant I did wonder a little how I work 12 hours plus overtime, went to school for 6 years and I have NO WAD OF CASH! :) You may ask was I jelous? A little bit...for a minute, then I was over it :). Anyways back to what you all care about....Disneyland.

Into Anaheim, onto the exit of Harbour....pass the Matterhorn, make a u turn and here is home....The Fairfield Anaheim Marriott. Clean, beautiful, spacious rooms that fit 5 very well. 2 in each queen, oh so comfy beds and one pull out sleeper from the over stuffed chair for my 9 year old daughter. Check in was a quick breeze and then off to the park as quickly as we threw all of our things in from the truck!

There are....a million people here today! I have never been to the land on a Saturday....maybe this is how the weekends are here...so I drag the kids over to Indiana...I figure it is almost parade time, so I am sure many are heading that way...we get to Indiana and it is shut down! :( again :(....no prob head over to pirates...get in line...stare up at the dream suite that I can only dream to win, snake around in the wonderous, magical queue line and within 20 minutes we are on my absolute fav ride POC! My daughter thinks she notices "new" additions...I think that each time you go on this ride, or any ride here, you notice something different..however, when the ride begins...there is a boat in the water to the right by Blue Bayou...is this new? haha, I have been on this ride so much, and now I am thinking it IS new...anyways...horrible traffic of people, so we high tail it out of here and head over to DCA for a quick Screamin ride before I fall on my face! To share, I did not know that right next to the carousel, it is blocked off completely...you have to go all the way around to get to Maliboomer..it stops right at the bathroom area...quick minor detail....anyhow...my husband grabs a quick beer, each of us a free and yummilicious mission hot tortilla and head back to our room. I finally figured how to use the free wifi thanks to Anderson at the front desk...and here I am...so tired! I can not wait for our refreshing early entry tomorrow! I will share more tomorrow. Sorry for all the spelling errors, my eyes hurt! hehe, "see" you all in a bit :) Christine

PS....Housekeeping just delivered 2 warm, freshly laundered blankets, hot from the dryer for my daughter who is sleeping soundly in her pull out bed, they are so great here!
Good night, for now :)

second day. First of all let me tell you the beds are sooooooooooo comfortable! They are like memory foam or something, all I know, is they are awesome. I forgot to mention that on the 3rd floor is a Pizza hut with also salads, sandwiches, drinks, coffees and doughnuts. It is not very expensive...I just went to check real quick to share with you all. A salad and sandwich is 5.50 not bad.

This am was our early entry...headed directly to Nemo on within 15 minutes, got quickly onto Indiana without a glitch, head over to walk right on to Haunted and by then it was opening time....and it filled up...FAST. My husband has a hard time around lots of people (Disneyland, I know...usually lots of people, usually easy to deal with)...however realizing that the whole world realized this was a 3 day weekend...what can you do? We were tired by 11!! haha, we head back to our room, and everyone fell asleep! A 2 hour nap....my goodness, 2 hours....back to DCA, which was so crowded, and I hate to complain, if you have read my posts you know how much I love it here...BUT....the line for Soarin and the line for TOT was 75 minutes long and guess what? NO FAST PASSES AVAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(....we head over to California Screamin....85 minute stand by with again...NO FAST PASSES! I am disapointed....there are a few rides shut down you would think that they would at least offer fast passes! :(...Im sad.

So here we are it is only 8 pm and I have had it with fighting the crowds, my magic has been tested today.

High of today? Getting our anniversary pin from City Hall and the lady at the Dole Whip stand gave my husband a sky high scoop due to our Anniversary recognition! My fav dessert as it is many of yours too :).

You will all be happy to know that even though the jungle cruise is down, you can not tell at all....some people were worried about seeing a box around the carousel in Fantasy land...there is not one, it looks as though it is running except it isnt haha.

Low of today? No fast passes avail in DCA for some reason and that EVERYONE caught wind of the 3 day weekend :(.

I cant complain too much, I am here and have a break from work....I am healthy and staring at Matterhorn as we speak :)

Hope you are all enjoying even though there are complaints here and there, I feel very important to be honest ay?

As far as staying here at the Fairfield, it is the BEST! (Yes, it is the one by Mc Donalds and you will not regret it :)

See you all tomorrow ;)

Day 3
Oh my gosh...I just wrote a HUGE day 3 for you all, and this computer froze! errrrr.... :( I chose to re write a day 3 for you all...

I was telling you many things and have chosen, since I have to rewrite my post to focus on two things. Number one...the Fireworks show....is the best that I have EVER seen. EVER! We sat in front of the castle to watch the show....it was so worth the 25 minute spot holding time! The music is beautiful and the fireworks people do not spare a dime...it was just incredible. I will not spoil it for you all who have not seen it...There is a part where Walt's voice says the famous..."To all who come to this happy place...welcome" Tears EVERY time :)

Ok and focus number 2. The absolute best time to be in the park is from 5-close. Things cool down and the park begins to thin out. Around 9 pm....the castle belongs to me.....those of you that have ventured to either the right or left side of the castle from fantasy land side know what this feels like. You are standing there....not a person around you...it is you, the reflection of the glistening castle and casual ducks floating by....you feel like a princess in waiting. In the distance you can hear the sounds of (not so) far away lands....this moment belongs to you...and the ducks. One can not help but feel as though....THIS IS WHERE IT'S AT...who needs that dream suite anyways?

Me, I do...if you dream team are reading it....of course I want to go to the dream suite...I am soooo willing to share with all my friends here at Disneyland....I would be happy to let the ducks swim in the tub!

And a confession.....I have a confession. I asked.....I asked at City Hall to see a phone book....and slipped in a whispered..."Can I see Walt's apartment." You would think that I was asking to see like, Walt Disney's private, coveted, personal, family spaced, private apartment that he built just for himself to look out over Disneyland...where he actually stood many night, tears in eyes, looking in adoration at all that he dreamed, and built coming to life before his own eyes, I mean Geesh! :) A polite "no", well, it was worth a try ay?

PS...take the right sided line at POC, I am not sure if this is a FP line, they were not checking...but it was much slower than the left side of the line.

Ok, will see you all tomorrow as I will write about our last :( day in the land (for now haha).....goodnight.

Sounds like your having fun :). My husband doesn't do so well with crowds either, that's why we try to go in the off season but it's not always possible.
Congrats on the Anniversary! What a bummer, it's busy and no FP, I wonder what happend.

Thanks for the updates!!! I have been a bit nervous as AAA booked me at the Fairfield Inn and it didn't get such good reviews from the guide book I was given. I also "need" daily internet, glad to see you managed that somehow there :-)
