Let me first start off by saying I am NOT a person for crazy thrill type rides, such as Roller Coasters and such. I get motion sickness and I hate the feeling of my stomach dropping. With that being said, I like the rides such as Spaceship Earth, Test Track (although the last fast turn gets me a little motion sick), and other sort of gentle rides with no loops and corkscrews and the like. I know the JP ride is a boat type ride with a big drop near the end. How bad is the drop? Would it get a very sensitive person like me "sick" or uncomfortable? Also, I hate getting wet when I have regular clothes on, then they stick to you and all that, so how wet do you get? I know there is also a JP river rapid type ride...I am NOT referring to that one. Any opinions would be appreciated!

I didn't ride it when I went to the parks in Orlando - but I did ride it in California. I'm not sure if the rides are identical or not. We got DRENCHED in California, but my sister and BIL who went in Orlando didn't get totally soaked, but that could jsut have been where they were sitting. I don't think you can see the drop beforehand in Orlando, like you can in California. But I seem to recall it being more extreme a drop than Splash.

The drop is something like 85-90ft. But it's indoors, so you never really see how high you are. You drop from the inside of the show building, with the drop exiting at the base of the building.

It's a pretty smooth drop. The California one can control how wet you get, for the most part. In the summer time you will most likely get drenched to the bone. While in the winter time, there's been times where I have been 95% dry when I got off.

If you sit in the front or on the edges you are more likely to get soaked than you would if you sit further back and on the inside of your vehicle. Basically let someone block the water for you. :p

Sounds like a great idea! I'll think about it! Thanks everyone!

ROFL yeah pretty much:D

I'm the exact same way. I hate rollercoasters and have a bad stomach also. I usually check out some of the rides on YouTube though. I was thinking about riding Space Mountain for the first time when I go in April but after seeing the ride on YouTube with the lights on, I am definitely gonna be skipping that one! LoL.
