So, my son will be 4 in December, and we have yet to buy a ticket for him at DLR. I know next time we go, I'm going to have to pay up. I was wondering if the AP's for kids are the same price as for adults? I would think there would be some kind of lower price, but when Disney considers an 11 year old an adult... you never know!!

We bought Matthew's first AP about 4 days after his third birthday. NO Discount for it. It's stupid but it's reality.

In the past when we've questioned why there are no child ap discounts, we've been told that the kids are getting in at a discounted rate when you calculate the number of times you go versus the cost of the ap. I don't know if that makes much sense (didn't to me) but, due to our healthy addiction, we continually cough up the money so we can keep going. :)

For what it's worth, I think the policy of same rate for adult and child season passes is pretty universal. I know that for the two theme parks near me ... SF Marine World and Paramount's Great America, the price is the same regardless of the age... And yes, the bummer of it is that you need to be sure of more days of attendance to justify the cost with kids than you do with adults ...
But the positive is it's like a savings account for recreation. We have SFMM passes (which also work at Water World), and we know no matter how tight money gets during the summer, we have some place we can take the kids, for the price of parking and a locker. We always take our food & waters, so it's economical.

I've always wondered about that. Its strange. Does WDW offer a price discount for kids APs?

Sounds like the same person who told me I needed to spend $219 a new AP after I lost my old one because I already "paid for my AP" by going more than 5 times
