Hi!! Planning to stay in the Pop century resort. Can anyone give any advice on what particular room I can request? Is there a standard view in the 1960's building? (it looks like it's the closest one to the Classic Hall) Someone recommended standard view, bldg A in the 90's in one of the forums. Does anyone agree with that? Also, if I'm getting my WDW tickets separately from my hotel booking, will there be a problem? ( I'm getting my tickets from KGS tickets). Thanks!!!!!

I think all of 60's is preferred now. I requested-and got-70's, 3rd or 4th floor(decrease traffic noise), away from the pool(noise again) and felt that it was very close to the main area. We were near the Mickey phone.

As far as a problem with room and tickets being booked separately-the only problem you might have is trying to use the wrong key for the purpose. For example, trying to use your room key for park enterance, etc. We ran into this problem with a split stay-one was room only-and the keys looked exactly the same. Not a big deal, but a small hassle. But I've read that if you purchase your admission off-site, that they look somehow different than your room key, so maybe it won't be an issue.

Take the time to go around the resort and see all the big icons-nice running/walking path. Very fun!

If you get your tickets separately, they will not look like your room keys. So, that wont be a problem.

Just wanted to make note that while Disney does try to accommodate all requests, requests are never guaranteed. Just have your requests listed in your reservation and also double check when you check into your resort to see if they are able accommodate your requests.

Last summer we stayed in the 50s building, on the far side of the building, 3rd floor. It was fantastic; quiet, clean, perfect. It was a bit of a walk to the main building/food court, but not near as bad as from the the Broadway building at ASMusic, and I liked the smaller, bowling pin pool. I would stay in the same suite in a heartbeat.

Ditto -- we really enjoyed the back side of the fifties, facing hourglass lake.

We stayed in a pool-view room in the '80s building for two nights this past July. Wouldn't do that again, the noise from the pool was very loud and was still going on at 1:30 AM. It wasn't full but everywhere else was quiet so any noise at all was pronounced. We've had good luck at the All-Stars with standard view rooms, those should be fine at Pop Century

Like all the Disney resorts on-site, guests saying at Pop Century are eligible for Extra Magic Hours when they are offered in the parks.

Click here (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=BLQ000) for the MousePlanet page about Pop Century. "Everything Pop" is the name of the food court and store both.
