Okay...help me out people! (I know I've almost waited too late...)
I am looking for an anniversary dinner April 2nd at 9 pm or later (not past 10, tho)
I would like to choose something from the world showcase...does anyone know if they take reservations that late?
Suggestions?
(this will be our finale' dinner...)

I'm pretty sure that they'll take ressies at 9. If it is a late-night (EMH), they may go later. The latest I've eaten is around 8. It was WAY after closing by the time we were done eating. What a lovely way to exit Epcot--all quiet and dark------and empty!!

ETA: For pure romance, I'd say LeChefs or Bistro......It's expensive, but it's worth it!!!!

We chose Le Cellier for our finale dinner. Absolutely didn't disappoint. I love the idea of walking out to a dark Epcot that you have almost to yourself. Will have to try that next time!

I have a reservation at Coral Reef at 8... Say we get out after park closing... Will we still be able to take Disney transportation?

Absolutely. Buses run at least 2 hours after park closing-maybe even longer.

We had a dinner at La Cellier for 9pm that we booked when we were out there so i'm sure you probably haven't left it too late. Are there only 2 of you if it's an anniversary dinner? More people will probably make it more difficult. Don't know if La Cellier take bookings for later then 9pm because i don't think we saw anyone else come in after us.

When I called to make DDRs the cast member recommended Le Cellieir's then apologized all over the place...no availabilities...darn...we did make DDR for California Grill for 9:20, should I keep it?
Should I keep trying for LeCellier and hope someone cancels?
opinions?

9:20 at california grill is a good deal for a nice anniversary dinner imho. you should be able to catch the MK fireworks from the viewing platform as a nice bonus. the only warning would be that a dinner there tends to be a longer-than-your-usual-restaurant event, so you might not be done until 11:30ish.

A possible tip for California Grill - when we were there we mentioned it was our first time eating there, and asked if it was possible to get a castle side window table. The lady at the check-in desk said she would try, and did. This is a phenomenal experience imo. They dim the lights in the restaurant and pipe in the music - if you're right at the window it's amazing! I would suggest letting them know not only that it's your anniversary, but also that you've never been there before and that you've heard what a fabulous experience it is. It can't hurt and you might get really lucky.

Chris

P.S. Congratulations!

For what it's worth, I always ask for a window seat. I used to not specify any more than that, and sometimes would get put in the back with a view of way off Epcot. But now I request a window seat facing the MK, and am usually accommodated. It also helps to book early and get an early time (like 6 or 6:30pm), before the place really starts to fill up. And I agree with Chris - the view of the MK is really incredible.

I actually just remembered that on my last visit in December 07 I initially got a seat that was a row away from the window, which was sorta OK. In the middle of my appetizer a diner next to the window finished, and I politely asked my waiter if it would be too much trouble if I moved over. It was no problem, the waitstaff moved all my stuff over, and now I had the table I really wanted!

Dan -- do you request the window seat when you make your ADR or do you do it closer to the date you would be there directly with the restaurant?

Thanks!

Cheryl

I request it when I check in down on the 2nd floor. They usually are able to grant my request.

We've had 9PM ADRs before in DHS, and an 8:30 at Chefs de France. Should be fine.
