Hello, on our trip we have a free (non-park) day in July and were going to go to DTD and maybe Planet Hollywood for dinner, we are on the DDP. I made all my ADRs but PH will not be taking ADRs after May, walk in only. I hate waiting and dont want to be without a reservation. Nothing else on the DDP stands out at DTD. We were thinking of going to Spoodles, since we never tried it. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge, any suggestions on how we can get there? I'd rather not take the Disney buses and we have 2 kids 4 and 6, whihc wont have car seats for a cab. Or do cabs in disney have kid seats? any suggestions?

I have never taken a cab in WDW, but I imagine that some of them are equipped with car seats due to it being Disneyworld and all. But that is just a guess and I'm sure someone else on MP will know for sure.

If traveling to the Boardwalk becomes too much of a hassle for you, you can always consider eating at a MK resort. Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary and Ohana's in the Poly are both very kid friendly, not to mention the Whispering Canyon Cafe in your own resort. The food there is pretty good, but the kids will love the environment!

Mission: Get to the BoardWalk (home of Spoodles) from the Wilderness Lodge without taking Disney busses or a taxi, and without entering a park.

I don't know... every Disney transportation route I can think of eventually leads to at least one leg on a bus or entry into Epcot.

Bus to Downtown Disney, bus to BoardWalk.
Resort launch to Magic Kingdom, bus to BoardWalk.
Resort launch to Magic Kingdom, Monorail or ferry to TTC, Monorail to Epcot, walk through Epcot to International Gateway, FriendShip or walk to BoardWalk.

I agree with Andrew on your options. I'd go with '2' - it's a fairly easy option, I think.

I don't think most taxis have car seats - I've never seen one (in my half-dozen or so taxi trips), and they couldn't have them in the trunk, because then there wouldn't be any luggage room.

Im with Andrew and Drince on this one... choose #2.
I echo the cab/carseat concerns. There is no guarantee that a cab will have car seats, let alone 2 of them.

I would not be concerned about taking the Disney busses. It really would be one of your better bets. Yes, it will take a little longer but then again, it is free and you do not have to worry about the car seat thing.

If you planning to do a park before dinner that day, just plan to be at Epcot. Exit Epcot through the International Gateway (the sign is right after you pass England in the World Showcase, and before you go over the bridge toward France). If you rented a stroller, you can leave it at that exit. It will be about a 10 minute walk, if you turn left over the bridge, to get to that side of the Boardwalk. To get back, the fastest option, without taking a cab, would be to grab a bus to Magic Kingdom from the closest hotel (Boardwalk), then take the boat.
